Tokyo City Groove

Tokyo City Groove launched in 2022. We are an event team of top-class studio musicians in Japan who will perform live shows with a focus on performance. CITY POP has been popular worldwide for several years, and our members have been involved in many of these recordings and live performances. Because the members have been active as studio musicians since the 1980s. They have CITY POP in their bodies. The original songs they create in Tokyo in the 2020's are nostalgic but new. We hope you will experience i and come to our live. Tokyo City Grooveが産声を上げたのは2022年。主宰の北村健太と山内薫は、1980年代、杉山清貴氏のツアーバックとして初めて演奏を共にしました。それ以降、数々のミュージシャンと活動を共にしてきた二人。演奏歴40年以上、60歳を超えた彼らが新たに始めたのがこのプロジェクト。仲間のスタジオミュージシャンを招集し生演奏とそのクオリティにこだわったライブ活動を中心に、オリジナル曲も多数制作中。2023年リリースのRight Hand Small Pianoは、BSフジ「バーボンストリート」オープニング・エンディングテーマに採用されました。
