High Waisted frontwoman Jessica Louise Dye steps out as a solo artist on her new project: Hello Lightfoot. Consisting of pop that’s equal parts danceable and confessional, her debut single “Twenty-Seven” imbues the pop genre with captivating verses and an irresistible hook atop groovy production sentiments. The track comes equipped with a colorful music video that finds her navigating the Las Vegas landscape with gorgeous pink hues and an Elvis impersonator in tow.

Following up “Twenty-Seven” — praised for its “crème de la crème vocals” —​​ her newest is a scorching track called “Shame” that backs a powerful pop hook with gritty production touches. Its heightened, tactile tension bubbles to a fever pitch in ‘Shame’s’ music video and makes Dye an artistic force to be reckoned with.

Dye has made a name for herself shredding guitar in surf-pop project High Waisted, DJing sold out rooms at NYC’s hottest clubs, and throwing wild themed parties in basements, rooftops, and boats. She’s received high praise over the years for her expertise as an artist and ultimate party organizer from Nylon, GQ, Noisey, Brooklyn Vegan, Consequence, Billboard, Paste, and The High Times. She’s also toured the country, playing festivals such as Riot Fest and SXSW, while writing for NPR’s More Perfect and featuring on a Record Store Day compilation alongside Bikini Kill, Lenny Kaye, and Atmosphere. Dye has written and produced countless albums, and works closely with brands such as Reddi-wip Google, Fender, Guess, Converse, UGG, Carolina Herera, Lyft, and Doc Martens.

With an exciting list of accomplishments under her belt, Hello Lightfoot is set to debut its first EP, “Every Circle Needs a Center” on April 29th, 2022 via Lean-To Records.
