Tin Roof Chicago

The band was great, clearly talented and funny. The venue was cool, good sound mixing and good food. However, don't bother pulling out your good eyeliner and old band tees. They took requests most of the night, none of which were classic emo hits. I was expecting some real throwbacks and the best I got was one green day song.

Ms Tritt and her band put on a nice show. All covers- Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Adele, Pat Benatar, Gretchen Wilson, Taylor Swift, among others. It was a tight 75 minute set. She is lovely and talented, a rocker with a very strong voice. Her 3 piece band-lead guitar, bass guitar and drums-kept a high energy tempo the entire set. Enjoyed their arrangements on these well known songs. Would like to hear the band do a ballad and their own music one day. Definitely worth making a trip to see and here. Tin Roof Chicago is a pretty nice venue. Fairly new place, very clean, strong cocktails, food was pretty good. Really enjoyed the hot honey cauliflower appetizer. Decent prices. Its right next to Wrigley Field in a very active entertainment district with parking onsite. No complaints here.
