The Showdown

Austin and his band put on an excellent, high energy show. The Showdown is a lovely little saloon, a rather intimate setting.

Austin Brown was amazing. As I knew he would be! Jeffrey East was amazing as I knew he would be. I have seen both perform live before. But this show was even better than I anticipated. It was a very intimate setting. Such a great show and cannot wait until he goes on another tour!! His band, Myles Brandon, Jason Haag, Terrell Gray and Jeffrey East killed it!! Anyone would love to see them live!

Brennan Leigh and her band is one of our all time favorite live acts. We hope she keeps coming back to Portland!

He’s a national treasure. So lucky to see him and hear his songs. Such an amazing songwriter, a true talent and so special. He has soul. He really played too, and Never Come Down were also great. Great show!!!!! Showdown is an amazing venue as well! Fantastic Night! Come back to Portland Jim!

The show was outstanding. Although sound was a little off. Kind of loud. Couldnt hear the vocals very well as it was drowned out by guitar and drums a little too much.

Matt sounded amazing, as always! It was a smaller more intimate show which is more my speed. Highly recommend seeing him!

Fantastic show. Their set was so red hot they blew a fuse and once some smoke cleared and the lights came back they picked up right where they left off! Woohoo! What a night. What a band. What an album !

Lake is the most genuine band I’ve ever seen and the show was incredible. Definitely see them if you get the chance.

Fantastic show!! Ellis is better than ever! Great stories, music, and everyone had a great time. Please come back to Portland!! Hi new song about PTSD had me crying. Venue was OK, turns out the entrance fee does not guarantee a seat in the room (I'm not going to buy a ticket to sit on the patio and not see the stage or hear the show). Seemed to have a lot of wasted space by the stage, claimed to be for fire reasons...note this venue is NEXT DOOR TO THE FIRE STATION. That said, the staff tried their best to serve rabid Ellis Paul fans and generally did a good job (especially the bouncer/security guard in a black cowboy hat). Now that we know the house rules we would go to another show there, just make sure to buy the reserved seating if you want to sit during the show.

Flamy and Company really brought it this time: great new music like Magna Mater and Thoughts & Prayers, The crowd was engaged and lovin it. More Flamy!

They were amazing, on fire and all really nice people!!! I would absolutely see them again, WOW, JUST WOW!!!

Katelyn is one of my favorite artists. An amazing voice, superb songwriting, and stage presence that will blow your mind!

Great show. Venue is pretty good with excellent staff Laura Benitez has such a wonderful voice and is backed by first class musicians. If you like country music and she is playing near you make sure you take in the show.

Coffis Brothers played a fantastic show! Debuted their new song "Do You Want It" - great sound, tight band, and drums Rock! They bantered with the audience and showed a really great time! Love seeing them! Showdown is a great venue! Easy vibe, sweet stag, dance if you want to, bar and staff are invested in you having a great time!

It was our first time seeing Ian Moore, who poured everything into a non-stop, high-energy, 80-minute set. We are indebted to our friend in Austin, Texas who recommended we not miss Moore when he played at The Showdown in Southeast Portland on Aug. 9. Sparse crowd? Perhaps, but that didn't deter Moore. He delivered to the delight of some obvious diehards and two new fans who went home grateful to our friend in Austin for the fabulous tip. Wish I'd asked for a setlist. Oh, well, maybe next time. Many, many thanks to Ian for an awesome show.

This is my first time seeing Cruz stripped down without his band. His solo show really showcases his lyrics, guitar skills and his seasoned stage presence.

It was a wonderful show, Curtis was great, and so much fun to watch the swing dancers. The venue is great and the people there are amazing.
