The Rialto Theatre

Taj Farrant at the Rialto was an incredible experience to witness this young guitarist play like a seasoned professional twice his age. NBLD was an excellent band as well in their own regard.

Hard to believe that someone so young can be so accomplished, nuanced and expressive as Taj is at 15- years old. His rendition of Stevie Ray’s “Riviera Paradise” was absolutely sublime. Taj is on 2025 Joe Bonamassa’s Blues Alive at Sea. I see him holding his own with Joe, Eric Gales and Samantha Fish. Can’t wait to see this young gun duke it out with blues finest.

The Rialto had great seating, which seemed to be renovated recently. Amythyst Kiah was impressive from first note to last. Very engaging. Gave insight to the origins to various songs. Great evening. The opener, Meltdown Rodeo, from Durham, were a perfect fit and an excellent start to the night.
