About The Borough Maidenhead
The Borough building has quietly existed within the hustle and bustle of Maidenhead since the 1850s as a wine and spirit merchant, located steps away from the main High Street. Over 170 odd years have passed, and we are now the privileged custodians of this historic building where people have been socialising for over a century.
Today, this three-storey building is a neighbourhood wine and cocktail bar, restaurant with private events spaces hosting monthly social events such as Wine and Gin Tasting, Wine Dinners alongside Weekly Live Music every Thursday.
Our drinks menu features a vast selection of over 100 wines filled with amazing value picks, real rarities, and those served by the glass including Coravin, making fine wines accessible to all. Alongside this we will be offering timeless cocktails containing an exciting Espresso Martini and Champagne Cocktail range beside a wide selection of spirits.
The bespoke menu of small plates, meat and cheese boards is perfect for sharing with friends and loved ones. Our menu includes signature small plates dishes such as Flat Iron Steak, Hung Yoghurt with Pomegranate, seasonal British charcuteries, artisanal British cheeses and freshly delivered Oysters every Thursday, Friday and Saturday to name a few highlights.
We are a neighbourhood spot - somewhere you can ‘drop-in’ for a glass of wine, a snack or something more substantial. Reservations are highly encouraged, as we only have so much space, however walk-ins are always welcome!
