I love a smaller venue to watch my favorite bands and the Astro Amphitheater was perfect. Crowded House put on a good show but I don’t know any of their new music so I was a little disappointed that they barely played any of their old stuff. They played some Split Enz music which was good too. Overall, I had fun and my not knowing their new music is on me.
Was an incredibly fun show. Neil's voice is spot on! The band puts on a fantastic show. Crowd interaction is a ton of fun. Crowded House vibe is must experience event.
First time seeing Neil and the guys and it was AMAZING! Every song was a hit and they had so much fun interacting with each other and the audience
Amazing show so much love and energy everyone was bopping and dancing. It was a joyful hour and a half full of songs that we have all grown up loving.
Ringo had the intensity of a twenty year old. His all star band was just that. The whole show was like a back yard get together. A lot of singing, dancing and just a good time.
Dogstar was great, as well as the opening band, Sons of Silver. I liked the venue other than the floor seating. They were folding chairs crammed so close together that you could barely move! The rows were less than probably 12" apart. Also, the older ladies checking tickets at the front door were less than friendly. The venue itself is beautiful but they could maybe work on those two issues.
Perry’s voice being what it is, this was such a great show. The musicianship was world class! Lost a half star because Perry couldn’t stop talking down to the Omaha crowd. It was, how the kids say, very cringe. Pete, Mike, and Steven couldn’t have made me any happier. Thanks guys!
This was our first time at the Astro in Omaha Nebraska. The show started with a band we had never seen or heard of from our home state of New York called,” too many zooz” They were INCREDIBLE WOW ! They got the crowd started and worked up ,while they proceeded to jump around and dance in pink shorts and pink jape to match, all the while playing heavy instruments. Then my favorite band COHEED AND CAMBRIA came on. Despite the intense heat they gave us a set that was crazy good full of great music, and tons of hair flips and foot stomping. Love them !
Primus didn’t disappoint either. While the people came to see them they gave us what we expected and wanted rounding out an amazing show well worth the price on a hot Nebraska night.
It was just fantastic! I saw them at the Hollywood palladium in 1994, didn’t realize it’s been 30 years…. They still kicked ass and Dexter sounded exactly the same!
Great show! Good to see Mike in good health and doing what he loves. Anytime I can catch SD live is a good time. Was really impressed with The Astro venue, not a bad seat in the house. Julian’s band Love Crime blew me away and looking forward to more music from them! The whole thing was worth the drive from Wichita Ks to Omaha!
Absolutely fantastic! Mike and the guys were solid on every song. Well done men! Even Lovecrimes was great. Julian Ness very talented young man like his Dad! A+
Veil of Maya has some great songs however some of them don’t transition to the live setting so well. I was well positioned and some of the tracks (Tokyo Chainsaw) lost the depth in the album versions as the guitar parts were not audible beyond the djenting. However the singer pulled off both the distorted and clean vocals very well and some of the songs were soaring especially near the end. As a first time listener of both bands, Nothing More had the crowd singing along and a compelling frontman but I found Wage War to draw me in more as they had some very intense parts perfect for headbanging at a live show.
Incredible players not much more to say there. Only issue was audibility of Steve’s backing band. Satch’s keyboard player nailed the vocals when he took over on singing the covers at the end, and the Steve/Joe collab song was awesome live.
Really great show- moved inside the indoor amphitheater due to weather. Standing room only in tier 2 and 3 was really chaotic. The first floor was a lot less crowded. Isbell was charismatic and an engaging entertainer. Played all the fan faves.
Hellacious show!!! What a musical journey! My eyes and ears were on overload all night! THE BEST MONEY I’VE SPENT AND GOT WAY MORE THAN I PAID FOR!!! A huuuuuuggggge THANK YOU TO STEVE, JOE, THEIR BANDS (STELLAR MUSICIANS) and the OUTSTANDING CREWS who made it all happen ALL NIGHT LONG!!! Kudos to The Astro and their staff (indoors & outdoors) for bringing two of the GREATEST TO PICK UP A GUITAR and AWESOME customer service!!! A big THANK YOU LaVista Police Department for keeping everyone safe and moving the traffic flawlessly!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR A REAL GOOD TIME!!! Positive Vibrations…
For a first time at the Astro, seats were incredible, the show was incredible, and I fulfilled my Bucket List of legendary guitarists seen live. If you like them both, see them live!.Awesome!
It was amazing as always. Great venue to house that southern rock machine known as 38 Special. These guys deliver night after night. From the first note the crowd was on their feet singing along to the hits. And when the smoke had cleared and the last note played. The crowd was still standing and wanting more.
Johnny and the gang took us ‘90s kids back in time with a well-performed show of old hits as well as helped up appreciate their newer songs by rocking them live with passion. I greatly enjoyed the show, and my kids now have a new-found appreciation for the Goo Goo Dolls.
Fitz and the Tantrums are always fun, and we are glad we traveled to Camdenton to see them as the opener instead of O.A.R. who opened for Goo back in our hometown of KC.
Fitz and the Tantrums always puts on a great and high energy show! I was fun to see them outside at the new Astro venue here!
Loved the show!!! They were so awesome and sounded superb!!! Energetic and crowd talking. Loved it! They were so awesome and having fun. Will defiantly see them again and get all their music!!!
Venue not so much. I know it’s new but with the crowd standing and enjoying it the entire time the stage was not visible. The seats were too flat on the sod with no elevation for the rows to see ahead to the stage. The chairs were not sturdy either. Crammed to close together. Just wish I could have really seen them perform!
