Absolutely brilliant show with a lot of energy, junglebobby did a brilliant job of hyping the crowd too
It was banging, I’ve never experienced a concert like it.
Energetic set with live vocals and some live instrumentals.
A perfect concert. Me and my boyfriend were completely amazed and loved every bit of it!
Okay - a few things first. I really love their music and have seen them quite a few times in the past, starting when they were playing pretty small venues and followed them as the venues have gotten larger. One of my favourites was at the Barbican for the Koyaanisqatsi evening - with which the Outernet performance had some similarities) and one of the small events.
Their playing was, as always, entrancing and varied and just pretty plain wonderful. The accompanying graphic interpretation was pretty good too - just a shame that I ended up watching quite a bit of it on one of the (not very well colour balanced) monitors positioned on the columns. Being a standing only venue with a flat floor, unless you're over 6 foot, it's virtually impossible to get a decent view of the proceedings. True if you get there as doors open and get a position on the balcony - but then if you're solo ( as I was) you then can't get a drink/go to bathroom etc without losing your spot. Btw - the bar facilities are excellent (as are the toilets) and coped with the capacity crowd very well. Prices as you'd expect of central London venue.
Also if you're of a certain age (I'm 67) standing around for hours isn't great. Sadly - I ended up leaving early as there was Rail Replacement after the 2309 train (I live out near Cambridge) and I wanted to avoid that . . .
To summarise, GGP as great as ever, the visuals very good, the venue probably not my favourite, but then at my age maybe I should stick to seated venues!
A new venue for me and very impressed. Excellent sound quality and sight lines. Very impressive video and lighting. GGP as good as usual - tight and powerful.
The artists and music was great. Just a couple of points to make about the drinks at the bar. The prices were wrong on the board and when I came to pay they were more expensive. It was shown at £9 for a can but then charged £10. I did query it but the staff just said it hadn't been changed. Also later on through the night they ran out of beer. Maybe they could stock some more next time.
Also due to no seating areas my lower back was really painful by 4/5 hours of standing.
I had to keep stretching by the wall to ease the pain. At the point the security asked if I was okay. Also about 6 other people came up to me and appreciated the same issue of back pain. I know the venue is small but maybe it could invest in some fold out chairs from the wall or some type of seating area?
Generally though, great venue and great music thank you!
The venue was great since it was small and staff were very helpful, I got barricade so that was great. Daniels vocals were on point and the visuals in the background were beautiful. However he didn’t perform one of the songs on his new album (shot my baby) and didn’t perform a surprise song like he did in other cities, but overall it was nice.
had to wait for an hour and a half listening to the same 10 song long playlist but beautiful performance tbh. will be there for the official tour
Missed it but looked great 👍🏼
dodie was there !!!! best gig I've ever been to
Unfortunately we couldn’t get there because of the rail strikes. Which I agree with.
I’m sure Kae would agree with.
Luckily we managed to see and meet Kae at Forwards, Bristol in September and she is awesome and we love her❤️
