The day was fun filled, the tribute bands were excellent and the Headline Bands kicked Ass!! Zakk Fucking Wylde is the fucking most Awesome dude ever!! ( besides Rob Halford)

Cody Jinks and his band are phenomenal!! Their AC/DC cover with Zakk Wylde was fantastic, can't wait to see them again!!

BLS was phenomenal. Zakk is an absolute legend on the guitar. First time seeing him with BLS and I wasn’t disappointed. The Society was out in full force with BLS vests and shirts everywhere. These fans are super die hard and loyal to the BLS. Great performance. As far as the festival itself, and I’m sure Zakk probably doesn’t have full control of, but there are some improvements to be made. Cell service was essentially nonexistent. Communication to the outside world was impossible. Fortunately it wasn’t needed. Concessions were not prepared. It was 80-85 degrees out and yet the beverages were warm. Ice them down. Secondly, security and general staffing was poor. People were not checked for their seats in the main amphitheater. People could go wherever they wanted which then caused people to not have the seats they paid for. Aisles were not maintained with people swarming and filling the aisle-ways. Not much point in paying extra for an aisle seat when the aisle disappears. When I pay for seat I expect to have it and not have to fight for it. If I wanted to fight for my space, I would buy pit tickets where it’s expected to have to claim your space and hold onto it. Beef up the staffing and verify people are where they belong. But overall the festival was great. I’m glad I travelled the four hours to go. It was worth it.

Black Stone Cherry is the reason we went to this festival. And as usual BSC absolutely crushed it. Their 8 song set was incredible. It’s too bad they couldn’t have played longer. Everyone I talked to afterwards was so impressed with these guys. This is my 7th time seeing them so I of course know how they play. They deliver their tracks with incredible intensity and energy and just straight up hard rock. I will go see this band every chance I get. If you haven’t seen them, do yourself a favor and check them out. You will become a fan instantly. Missed out on seeing Dean (merch manager) this time as the festival staff handled merch sales. Hopefully catch up with him next time.

Clutch is another band that I haven’t followed and don’t know much about but I do know that their fans are die hard and incredibly loyal. The mosh pit was brutally insane. I’m sure there are several people with various bruises all over their bodies. Clutch’s music is rather hard and intense yet it has a funk flare and is just some good time rock.

Cody closed out this festival which was surprising since Zakk Wylde put the festival on. It’s too bad that nearly half the crowd bailed out after Black Label Society played. It did however probably give true Cody Jinks fans an opportunity to get a better seat. I can honestly we left after a couple songs. It’s just not my genre of music. He sounded really good though and his stage setup was pretty cool. My only regret is not hearing his AC/DC cover with Zakk.

I’m not a huge Led Zeppelin fan but these guys sounded pretty damn good. Vocals were nearly spot on.

Incredible event and show- totally exceeded our expectations! Cannot wait for the next Berzerkus!
