Front and center!!! If I never see another show, I would remain sustained by this experience of pure bliss forever. The The is heart-piercing and to see them LIVE was nourishment for the soul. There is an extraordinary standard of excellence not achieved commonly by just any band, but upheld by Matt Johnson and the dynamic of musicianship he’s assembled that in unison resonates every cell, inspiring new circuits and synaptic memory for life. He is a gifted gift to the world and I am happy recipient of all that he shares in his powerfully stylized artistry.. elegantly intense yet vulnerable to the core and still most gentlemanly. There was love generated among 5000+.. all created by the gorgeous sonic aftermath of The The.

Show was great. At one point it seemed to have gotten louder than his voice was, and in Daylight someone passed out and the song stopped. Other than that David was amazing. I love that he told some stories and the audience got some background on his songs we love. I think he’s amazing and Salt Shed was a great venue.

I really like this band. However, why you perform in almost total darkness is beyond me and, in my opinion, takes away from your music. Seeing only shadows makes me think I'd have a better experience watching an old concert of yours on YouTube. The starter band; Frankie Rose, also performed in the dark. I enjoyed the music but not the presentation. Another band I recently saw this summer at the Rivera was Echo and the Bunnymen. They, too, performed their music in a foggy, annoyingly low light way. Please reconsider upping the voltage and continue to electrify your fans.
