LANY's performance at the Salt Shed was a blast. Paul had an upbeat energy that was contagious. I really liked their setlist and stage setup. My only complaint is that I do not think it was necessary to have two opening acts especially for a show that started at around 8:00pm and ended at about 11:30pm. It was a great show regardless, also shoutout to Salt Shed for having such an impressive and organized venue!
A fantastic night of music, Social Distortion was on point, Mike Ness sounded really good, "I Was Wrong" sounded perfect. Bad Religion were as tight as ever, they were in top form. They didn't miss a step, but the real cherry on top was when Greg left the stage at the end of the last song...and the band did a perfect cover verse of "The Boys are Back in Town" (((Chef's kiss)))
What is there to say? The show, the performance, the lights, the energy from the band, particularly Vessel was excellent! I could honestly say that it’s the best show that I’ve been to in years and I’ve been to a few festivals and shows the last few years. Congrats, to the band; you have created a monster.
BEST NIGHT EVER!!! It was so magical! Been a fan of Sleep Token for a while and I gotta say seeing them live is literally a spiritual experience, I ascended. Love all of them, they’re so talented and I’m so happy to have seen them live!
Haley is the best and more people should get to see her. She has a charmingly modest stage presence but her voice and her songs are bold and transport me when I hear her live. I never got to hear Joan Baez in person but I imagine Haley Heynderickx's powerful voice is pretty close.
Cli recommend you catch her every chance that you get. She played some new stuff I'd not heard before. The new stuff shows off her voice and picking; I can't wait to hear what else she's working on.
Great show as always, I've seen Atmosphere in Chicago many times since 2004 and they NEVER disappoint... Finally got a pic with Slug before the show and it was a highlight of the night... Took my kids to their 1st real concert and they loved every second of it too... Glad to know that in the realm of hip hop, true artists like Atmosphere exist...
First time at the Salt Shed and Neck Deep absolutely killed it!! The set was incredible and I genuinely was not expecting the mosh pits to start during the openers (but they are also really good!!). Would absolutely love to see this band live again ❤️
LP always delivers. BEAUTIFUL VOICE. Loved the new set featuring songs from the latest album. Thanks for throwing in some traditional fan favorites, as well. Salt Shed is a marvelous venue. Easy parking. Many open bars meant short lines. Bathrooms are designed to handle many people at once.
What an incredible show!!!! One of the best live shows I have been to. Great sound, brilliant light show, and a great crowd! The Salt Shed is a fantastic venue for a General Admission show and I will definitely be back!! Been a fan for several years and now, after the show, the 3 people I brought with a big fans of LP as well! Incredible!
LP is amazing!! Fantastic show. Great band. So much energy. The audience really responded to them
The venue itself it great. But parking was awful. Valet?! At a concert? For $50! And no warning about this on website. Very difficult to get out of the lot. I suspect the ride share people had trouble too. That street doesn’t handle large volumes of traffic well. Traffic just wasn’t moving. Wish I had biked there. But it was raining in November.
They were so freaking awesome!! I would love to see them again. The set list was amazing. Seeing them live actually made me love their new album even more. The energy was great and non-stop. They kept everything going and even interacted with the crowd. I’d love to see them again! I See Stars and ERRA where amazing and I’ve become and ERRA fan from it. Merch prices weren’t that expensive either! The fans and crowd were great for someone who’s 17 and went to their first metal concert. Venue was super nice and clean too! I’d go and see them again any time! Just get your tickets earlier and won’t get up charged from scalpers like me.
I must say I was very impressed by her performance! She is an amazing artist. She played a 2 hour set that was flawless. I will admit I’m a hard rock and heavy metal person. My wife is a big fan of hers and I do listen to her music when she plays it. This was the third attempt to see her play in the last 3 years. It was a pleasure to see my wife enjoy the show, great show Tash!!
First Time at the Salt Shed probably 10th time seeing Modest Mouse. Modest Mouse rocked and got everybody moving there feet from opener Doin the cockroach to the last song Out of gas. Issac was energized and the band was tight even with new members. The sound system was outstanding, The Salt Shed had convenient parking easy entrance. We purchased premium tix. Which allowed us to a balcony on the right side of the stage. Although limited there were some bar stools, so you didn't have to stand an even a few chairs. Great food selection. The empanadas were fantastic. Drinks were a bit pricey and beer not much better. Overall great crowd and atmosphere.
Not only do sisters Johanna and Klara of First Aid Kit have the voices of angels, they put on an amazing show! The Salt Shed is a great venue . I took my nine year old daughter to see First Aid Kit, one of her favorite bands. The people in the audience were gracious enough to allow her to go to the very front. I, of course, accompanied her. Throughout the concert, Johanna and Klara smiled and acknowledged my daughter and her little friend who was also 9 and was standing next to her, obviously showing appreciation for their youngest fans. That alone was enough to make my daughter, the happiest kid on the planet. But After the concert was over and the audience was leaving, Johanna and Klara walked across the stage, bent down and tossed their guitar picks to my daughter and her friend! Their enormous talent coupled with their great kindness has made us fans for life. We will see them every time the come to Chicago!
It was a very enjoyable, dynamic show. First time for us at the Salt Shed, and the venue was clean, organized, and well-staffed. The Weather Station opened the show, and their set didn’t have much impact on me - it started quietly and slowly, and never gained much momentum. First Aid Kit played a very good set, mixing older favorites with lots of songs from “Palomino.” The sound was great - you could clearly hear the words in the lyrics, but there was power and punch in the mix when called for. As a former lighting designer, I would have liked more lighting on the back line of the 4 excellent musicians supporting Klara and Johanna (they were never spotlit enough to see their faces, even during solo breaks), and some of the video pieces played on the screen behind the band were repetitive; at times, they didn’t seem to add much to the performance. But overall, it was a very satisfying show.
The Salt Shed is a new venue for shows and this event on the “Fairgrounds” was well run. Layout for food and beverage, restrooms, and crowd was good. I was GA so no reserved seating.some bleacher style seat that were first come.
Clean and (very) loud sound system.
Definitely not jorja fault it jus got rained out. I did get to see her beauty in person, in the rain for maybe 5 minutes. Probably one of the best 5 minute periods of my life. Mick Jenkins had a crazy opening set which totally made it worth it, plus we got a full refund on the tickets so the mick show was effectively free. I’m sure they cleared profit off beers and food and whatnot but overall not the worst experience to get rained out. I got to see jorja smith get a little damp , at least we didn’t get soaked all the way thru in a torrenting downpour with nowhere to go
The venue was interesting. Glad I paid to have a seat in the grandstand. Perfect view of the stage and the band. Drinks were expensive and limited. Third Eye Blind was awesome, it was close to a 3-hour show! Getting out of the place was a hassle, and parking around the venue sucks. Overall, I would go back to the Salt Shed but it would have to be someone I really liked.
There's absolutely no reason why a person should look, sound or control a crowd the way Iggy Pop does. Out of hundreds of shows, I'm sure this one will stand out in my life for many years to come. Loved the classic solo material, the Stooges tracks were done with the utmost respect that they deserve and the new songs meshed very well into the set. The brass section was a great touch too.
Concert was awesome. A bit disappointed that there was no First Aid Kit merch available. Had there been, I’d given the review 5 stars. The premium ticket was worth the extra cost (#bathrooms) Despite saying “standing room only” there were table tops and outdoor tables to stand or sit and nosh the delectable offerings, some Vegetarian friendly. I picked up vinyl and a pic for my wall from the vendors. Nice mix at this venue!!
