Wonderful intimate show. Having never seen Anders before I was pleased by the way the set was a greatest hits and felt somewhat spontaneous with camping and song choices. No encore, but I think the flexibility ran right up against his allotted time.
Justin never disappoints though I would have liked to hear "The Western Sky". I-84 was bogged down with post Thanksgiving traffic so took dark back roads from Monroe to Ridgefield. Thank goodness for GPS!
Justin Hayward is my all time favorite musician. He continues to sound amazing. I am always grateful when I get to see him perform.
He has a very talented band supporting him. The stand out is Mike Dawes on lead guitar who also does the warm up.
I love attending shows at the Ridgefield Playhouse. It is a very comfortable venue, not a bad seat in the house. The expanded lobby has lots of room to relax & get a drink before the show.
The Smithereens never fail to ROCK! Be it with Robin Wilson or Marshall Crenshaw, they never disappoint. Go see them when they come to your town!
Sierra and her band were amazing. They came out right on time, and the gig included many of her original tunes, and some covers. There were even some tunes from her upcoming release. A special moment for me was an acapella number with heavenly harmonies. All the band members are top notch players, as would be expected, and Sierra just keeps kicking out amazing tone, jaw dropping licks, and angelic singing. Can't wait to catch her in another show!
Raul and the boys were in fine form this evening. They rocked the house. Only complaint was too short of a show. Wish they could go for 3 hours!!😂👍
Two very talented and entertaining women. They both played and sang well, told entertaining stories and had fun interacting with the audience and each other.
didnt attend, but one of the best guitar players ive ever heard. my favorite is funky #7, the one on youtube....the quite long one.
It was amazing! Darren is very talented and funny. He played the guitar and the piano very well, he cracked jokes, and the background singer and band were amazing. He engaged the audience too. Even my 78 year old grandmother loved the show. The Glee fans were excited to hear him play a glee cover song in the encore and Granger Danger had me and my mom cracking up.
Martin Sexton is an incredibly talented performer. He engages the audience with his soulful stories and music. He has a beautiful voice and performs a wide range of songs with lots of fun surprises embedded in his performance.
I made a mistake on my first submission. It should have been FIVE Stars! The Tenors put on an awesome performance.
It was my first time to the Ridgefield Playhouse, and I absolutely loved it!!
One of the best one-person shows I’ve ever seen. Brian Stokes Mitchell is not only a tremendous voice but he’s also an expert at engaging the audience emotionally and spiritually.
I love love love Randy Rainbow. He's a brilliant satirist and parody lyric writer. I laughed for 2 long hours and did to issues at home, I really needed those 2 hours to laugh and not think.
My only complaint was the VIP meet & Greet. Those tickets cost more than the show. It was billed as "a private q&a session with Randy, followed by a photo op". First randy was walked off from us being a barricade. So the photo op was kind of weird, we stood more front, him behind. And then... there was nothing. "Here's your hat what's your hurry". There was NO kind of Q&A whatsoever, there wasn't even time to ask "how your cat?". Q&A was billed as the majority of the after show with Randy, followed by photos. Except it never happened. Not a single q or a. Our photo was taken and we were down the door. I don't think we were in there 10 minutes. Frankly, I felt ripped off- the q&a tix were more than the show this, and all I got was a quickie snapshot. I was really looking forward to the q&a and I'm miffed it never happened. It think the venue owes is a $75 refund in the VIP tickets, because it was not at all as billed or described. (When we met Randy in 2016, he was lovely, came out to the theater, talked to every single person, asked their name, put his arm round your shoulders. We got great photos and felt a kinship). The 2023, we might have been in a different room for all the difference it made. No talking, no introductions, a soulless snapshot and no advertised q&a.
See the show, don't waste your money on vip.
Awesome Concert !!!
I loved the dancing and the non-stop smiles and excitement. Keep doing what you do. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do in the future.
The venue is literally perfect, my new favorite to see a concert. Sound impeccable. Lighting, seats, legroom, lobby, concessions, parking. Ridgefield is just what I love in a concert venue.
Rufus Wainwright has the most amazing voice in a generation. His multidimensional songwriting skills and genres are incomparable. His show was the thrill of my year, period.
Fantastic, had a great time, adult drinks very expensive , I paid 44.00 dollars for a quarter glass of wine, and one white claw seltzer drink.
Great show! These guys have a master class in music. Anyone who is a musician or aspiring to be one definitely needs to go see this band !
Absolutely amazing. The energy, the musicianship, the pure rock and roll, the crowd, and the venue. An epic evening. Not soon to be forgotten .
First off, no opening act. I love that! Gavin came out, played a song then said he was going to play his new album in it’s entirety sprinkled with his hits. The show was extra special because he had people from his hometown in the audience. I left saying, “Why haven’t I seen Gavin DeGraw before?” Now I have a bit of a crush on him. :)
show was great and the venue fantastic!! easy drive, parking, accessibility and small venue. the concert was advertised as his new album which was great but also included about 6 "oldies" that we all know and love so well. def recommend...only glitch we thought, was Gavin invited fans down to the stage area which ruined the view and seating for those down front. also after the group went down he played liked 4 slower songs and no one could sit because the mosh pit didn't leave so everyone just stood. still recommend going to see this great artist.
