The Eric Morecambe Centre

Unbelievable! A magic evening. Go get tickets!!!!!

A wonderful evening with Richard Thompson in good voice and with his signature guitar virtuosity. Many favourite songs from Richards back catalogue, including Beeswing and Wall of Death. Ably supported by opening duo Smith and Brewer, who were a revelation: brilliant guitar work and original compositions. The EMC is a comfortable venue with good accessibility and helpful staff.

what superlatives can i add, that haven't already been used good modern venue (although the car parking is not their responsiblity, it was a bit of a PITA)

Colin Blunstone's magical first-ever performance of his exquisite first solo album, One Year, was an almost unbelievably perfect concert! Gorgeous studio quality sound, a stellar band including ex-Strawbs Dave Bainbridge, & Chas Cronk, The Zombies' Soren Koch and Steve Rodford, and the fabulous Q Strings -- and Colin in as fine voice as I've ever heard him. He is such a magnificently enduring artist and interpreter of songs. This was one of the most magical and memorable performances I have ever seen.

Flawless performance of Colin's brilliant album "One Year". The "Q Strings" replicated the beautiful orchestration note for note. The Coup de Gras is the last word of "Say You Don't Mind" . All through the concert I was wondering "will he still hit that high sustained note?" Oh, he hit it alright...out of the Park! Memorable night, worth traveling from Seattle USA
