Veterans Memorial Park

We went to Veteran's Park on Thursday, August 8,2024. We were visiting from Phoenix and staying with our friend who lives in Kenosha. She highly recommended this concert and location. We were not disappointed. We got there early 5:30 PM ( concert started promptly 6:00 PM). Plenty of on street parking. Plenty of space as the main road was blocked off so we sat in our lawn chairs and snacks and listened looking straight ahead of the stage. Sound system was excellent clearly audible for a distance. We throughly enjoyed Lil" Ed & The Blues Imperials who apparently do concerts here often. We could totally understand. Ed was an experienced musician, singer and an entertainer. He knew how to play and pleasure his fans. It was delightful to hear "true" rhythm and blues that his group played. Typically he played for an hour 20 minute break than until 8:00 PM. Extremely enjoyable and entertaining . Highly recommend this venue and types of musicians that play their music here.
