Had never heard their music before this concert - but I'm a big fan now! Where else are you gonna hear some great original Southern Rock and blues songs, but covers of Skynyrd's "Whiskey Rock-a-roller", Neil Young's "Old Man", Three Dog Night's "Never Been to Spain", and Joe Cocker's "With A Little Help From My Friends"? Just an awesome concert experience - can't wait to see them again!
Ellis Bullard is one fine human being and an even better singer/artist. His band is so amazing, tight, and so accommodating. If you ever get a chance to see them, take it now, before you can’t afford it lol.
A live performance that is unforgettable. The instinct of each performer to support one another in song interpretations, then break out into unexpected soaring solos, created moments of pure magic.
Second time seeing Brent Cobb at the Raccoon Motel. They always put on a great show and the setlist was nice and diverse with old and new songs. There was a bit of a sound issue mid show that made it a little difficult to hear Brent's vocals at times, but they all still sounded great!
A great show, so loud at times and also a lovely acoustic set. The openers were really fun too, first Tanner Dane and then Lauren Lovelle and the Midnight Spliffs. Great energy!
A explosion of sound from brutal chaos to ambient tones made for a powerful performance from this experienced grassroots DJ make sure you check him out if he comes your way.
The entire show: Tenille, her band and the venue was Fan-tastic. Small, intimate, nice, easy to get to venue. The fact that it was a small gig did not seem to matter at all to them. They put on a high-energy performance and then a very friendly meet-and-greet. Tenille's rapor with the audience and take-your-time chat & photo op with her after the show was incredible and so cool & real. She is a very special, caring person as well as musical talent. ♥️
It was so entertaining! His storytelling is right up there with all the great storytellers. He has some really beautiful tunes and lyrics. I was not disappointed and will go listen to him every chance I get. His backup player was excellent, and the sounds he made that guitar of his do was out of this world. Tommy is a talent in his own right, I look forward to more of his creativity.
First time at the Raccoon Motel. We really enjoyed the uniqueness of it all. Jordan Smart is a real musical talent. Loved his stories and his songs... especially the one about John Prine.
Excellent show! The energy Preoccupations delivers is transformative-I am looking forward to the next live show I can catch. I caught Dinosaur Jr. a few weeks ago and I dare say that Preoccupations were just as LOUD. Plus one for the opener, Cindy Sparkles-a haunting solo act that pulses with raw energy.
Holy S*$t! This is why I traveled 2 hours to see Ken mode live. They tore it up! If you like Ken mode as much as I do, make sure you catch them on this tour!
Awesome as usual! Third time seeing LCC and they delivered! Awesome cover of Little Red Corvette during their show. Was great to see them in a small venue as well.
These Austin natives have a very cool sound mixing catchy lyrics with their tight musicianship resulting in a solid performance tonight at the Raccoon Motel.
One of the best shows I’ve been to in quite a long time; the venue and the crowd made it feel so intimate and not only that, this band is incredible live. Will definitely see them again, should they come back to these parts.
Nellie seems to always be on and gives an excellent show. Some of her song intros could use some updating 7-11 doesn't resonate as a convenience store chain that is ruining America. A reference to GW Bush seemed out of the past.
The Arcadian wild were excellent!! The sound was good. The venue was small, but very few people were there, so it was good for those of us that turned up on a Wednesday night.
Super excited to witness time go real slow at what is my first slowcore concert… I’m sad that I didn’t get to be there. I’m sad I missed horsie jumpie, I’m sad I missed MJ and my fav xander (ily call me sometime<3), and I’m even more sad I missed squirrel flower. Instead I was crying, punching air, shidding, farting, and c*****g. Y’all stay safe tho XO
Amazing show! Very intimate, and awesome! He is truly a very charismatic and amazing performer. He has such a positive energy and really inspired the audience. His rapport with both the band and the audience was spellbinding.
The performance was amazing! All the hits and everything that I really wanted to hear. It was really kind of just the perfect show to see at the perfect time. I feel really fortunate to have seen him now, because I think he’s really going to be amazing.
Also, just because I think he deserves a LOT of credit Chris Huston Lee’s set was a real surprise. I was not expecting such an amazing personal opening. He’s a really gifted songwriter, but also a really angelic singer. The songs were as lyrically brilliant as a Salinger short story. They were whole worlds inside songs, little movies, each and every one. Thanks, Orville for introducing us! I really appreciate it, and it was a night that I’ll remember for a really long time!
