It was a terrific show. I've seen the groups number of times and they keep getting better. Charisma with virtuosity. The Waldo Theatre venue was small and personal. This is a must see band.

I have attended Roger's McGuinn's solo shows in each of the past five decades, and this was the best yet. And that is saying a lot. Roger's solo shows have evolved continuously. They contain a blend of stories and songs and reflect the musical journey his life has been. At Waldoboro he alternated between four different instruments. For fans of the Byrds, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Band, the most recognizable sound is that of his signature electric 12-strong Rickenbacker, which he played to back classic Byrds songs such as "Mr. Tambourine Man," My Back Pages," and "So You Want to be a Rock and Roll Star." At Waldoboro Roger had the crowd engaged from start to finish. Roger has a unique talent for getting the audience involved, and encouraged all to sing along on the familiar hits. Accompanied by his banjo, Roger coached the audience to back him with a unique 1-2 clap pattern. I have seen him do this on countless occasions, and the results are often funny as the fans often struggle with such unfamiliar timing. Roger uniquely matches stories and songs reaching all the way back to his first musical adventures as a teenager, and over the course of the evening the audience learned about his evolution as an artist and the unique influences that contributed to his musical growth. What a night! If Roger is appearing anywhere near where you live, and if you love live music, get those tickets now! Peter Hanrahan
