Moody Center

Hozier is super talented and is a really skilled musician. And I mostly enjoyed the show except when both artists decided to use the stage as a pulpit for politics and "social justice". We are already bombarded with that on TV, the news, social media, etc. So I genuinely ask, where can we go now for escape from it when everyone feels they need to pontificate their viewpoint(s) to the world? What truly makes me sad is that so many are pushing back now against what is real in absolute truth in favor of personal/individual truths, that of which does not truly exist. It's a facade and it's not real. Despite the perception some might have of me as a Christian, I don't say this in anger or in condemnation, but out of love. Because ultimately when you love someone, you don't lie to them but tell them the truth, even when it's difficult to say and hear. And I pray that you'll one day accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Savior. He is the Truth and the Life, the only way to the Father, and salvation. And He loves you so much. So much so that He died for me, for you, for all of us. So that we could have everlasting life with Him. I love you all, in Jesus' name.

Incredible!!! Hands down the best concert I have ever been to!!! You could just tell that they were so happy to be there, and they were interacting with the crowd so much! Pentatonix is truly such a unique group, they have inspired me in so many ways, and I will definitely go to their next concert, and all the concerts after that!

Fue un gran regalo de poder verlos 🥹 Tuve el placer de verlos en vivo cuando fui a Monterey para el Tour Generación en 2005. Estaba joven y gracias a mis prima y mi Tio pude ir. Fue una experiencia especial y inolvidable! Desde entonces me moría de las ganas de volver a verlos. Tantos años que no tuvimos el dinero y me perdí todas las canciones después del primer disco. Cuando salió Adiós me dolió profundamente que no iba tener la oportunidad. Pasaron tantos años superando la herida. Y con el tiempo y lo que he pasando en mi vida, lo último que esperé fue el rencuentro de RBD 🥹 Ahora en el 1 de Octubre, 2023 gracias a Dios que me dio la bendición de poder tener el dinero para ir y hasta invitar a mi prima 😭 Nos hizo tanta falta poder estar presente en un concierto de RBD. Después de tantos años sin poder conseguir boletos, ahora nos tocó estar cerquita de ellos y verlos sonriendo y disfrutando juntos en el escenario. ❤️ Me sentí tan presente realmente valorando y disfrutando una noche espectacular. Ahora Dios nos dio la bendición mas hermosa de la vida, nos hizo mamás de nuestros bebés 🥹 Para mi he sido lo más bonito poder ver a esas mujeres que admiró muchísimo, disfrutando el amor de sus matrimonios y de ser madres de esos angelitos ❤️ me da tanta emoción viendo que mis hijas canten y bailen las canciones conmigo igual que los hijos de Anahí y la hija de Dulce 🥰 Me siento que mi alma está rellena de felicidad y de un amor que sigue creciendo Mi corazón sano al volver anoche. ❤️‍🩹

Nickelback's show was so much fun. They are just as good live as recorded. All the band members were engaged with the crowd, having fun, and just making it a really great experience. At this show, Nickelback had two opening acts, one of which was Brantley Gilbert. I've also been wanting to see BG live, so having both Nickelback and BG in one show was phenomenal. BG and his band were also fantastic entertainers. A whole bunch of talented folks doing what they love made for great vibes and a great time. I'm not sure if this is to do with the bands or the venue, but my only main gripe about the whole evening was the sound balance - especially for both opening acts. I could hear the instruments wonderfully well. The vocals, on the other hand, were pretty well drowned out and hard to hear. For the opening acts I think I could make out 1/3 to 1/2 of the lyrics. I knew most of BG's songs, though, and could sing along with the music. Nickelback's sound balance was improved, but still not as great as I would have hoped - I could get about 3/4 of the lyrics. The crowd all sang along, though, so I was never lost. As for the venue itself, this was my first time at Moody Center. It still felt new, but well organized. The crowds and lines seemed to move pretty well. They didn't seem to enforce their no vaping/smoking rules, though, as I could see and smell it happening all around me. As someone with allergies/asthma, this was disappointing, especially for an indoor venue in a smoke-free city. Overall, it was a great night, and I'm so glad I saw this show!

This was probably one of my favorites of all time, and most likely will stick with me. His ability to captivate and entertain, his wonderful band, lovely humor made for a most enjoyable evening. Pretty amazing, and I consider myself blessed to be able to see him here in Austin. I’d say that the venue is just alright, despite the amazing building, wonderful food options, clean and efficient bathrooms, entry, etc. , they had the AC blasting so much that I was actually cold surrounded by so many people. I’ve been to two shows here, and the sound was sporadically glitchy - almost deafening at some points.

You will not be disappointed. It takes a bit for them to set the "EQ" correctly.... 4/5 songs. Since soundcheck is for Foreigner... but when FOREIGNER TAKES THE STAGE.... Steven Tyler's gonna have to up his game. Cause " THAT ONE GUITAR IS GONNA BLOW YOU AWAY" Thank you, Kelly Hansen you and the Band were way above AWESOME. I’ve been to a lot of shows throughout the years but this one tops all of them!!! You can really tell the team who runs the Paramore shows runs things with us fans in mind. A lot of the staff at the barricade was handing out waters to people in the pit and making sure everyone was okay. Doors opened earlier than usual. And overall the people in the crowd was so chill. I had a much better experience watching Paramore over The 1975

This show changed my life! Harry is amazing! His voice sounds soooo good live, he is great with the audience, makes everyone feel so loved, and the atmosphere is incredible. Hopefully I go to another one of his shows in the future because it’s been a while since I went and I still think about this night almost every day! I love you Harry <3

I'm lucky enough to have seen him twice. I listen to a lot of rock and metal and guitar-based music. Billy Strings is hands down the best guitarist I've ever seen, and it's bluegrass! Of all the shredders from all the acts I've witnessed, Billy Strings has been the best. His whole band is amazing. On top of it - for all the guitarists who want to nerd out - listen to his playing. His notes are completely crisp and solid. Just watch a video of one of his live performances and you'll see what I mean. Every single note is so intentional and firmly pressed down that it's magic. I'm lucky to have seen him!

Janet Jackson is an Epic singer! Please her concert in Houston is another great Epic concert to remember. I saw her SOTW CONCERT 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and she was Epic. Albuquerque was left out of the Together Again Tour 😢 😪. Janet Jackson Please don't forget your Albuquerque and NM area fans😢😢. I would love to see you again after 6 years ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Isleta amphitheater thank you for reading this message 🙏.

Loved the show…his voice sounds exactly the same as it did before. I hated the venue…there ARE bad seats, you can hardly see the people on stage and the stupid screens are about the size of my TV at home. Why put screens up that are supposed to allow those who can’t see the stage, see the show ; but these screens are so small and the camera angles are in weird places…great show, bad venue. Will never go to another show at this venue. I was tricked…thought I was getting tickets for the Moody /ACL but found out it’s the Moody Center; the old Frank Irwin center rebuilt, but worse. Everything is called Moody now…Moody Amphitheater, Moody Center….that’s on me though. I’ll look closer next time I buy tickets in Austin. Austin kinda sucks now…

This was the first time I’ve seen The Cure ever! I listened to them as a teenager, I really didn’t know what to expect and OMG! I’m so glad I came to this concert! It literally blew me away! The play Stellar LIVE! It was sooooo AMAZING! It literally left me speechless! Robert Smith’s voice is the same if not better- it’s never changed! As a whole, the whole band’s energy was so amazing! The music was so energizing., which I feel people should give it a rest saying that they’re dark, moody, etc. Leave it to the fan, because honestly everyone experiences the music differently! To me it was everything opposite, it was soooo uplifting! I left that show totally feeling Awesome and so grateful and appreciative that I got a last minute ticket (only one available) to this Amazing show! Do yourself a favor and go! I cannot wait til the next time I get to see them! Even though I had a great view, I’m getting better seats!!! Thank you Robert , Simon and the rest of The Cure for making last night such an awesome experience that I’ll never forget! ❤️❤️❤️🌹💖🌟

Great band - held up well, and performed as well as they always have! However: Acoustics were rough - vocals, guitar solos drowned out much of the time by echo and simple crowd noise. Getting to Moody Center was ridiculous - nearly 2 hours waiting in traffic downtown, directed to one parking garage after another, all full, all streets completely clogged. Austin clearly did not think this stadium and flow design through.

Holy Spirit filled concert that glorified Jesus Christ! The singers, the dance choir, and musicians were filled with God’s spirit, don’t lose that as the Lord takes you all from glory to glory in the industry. I beseech you, do not only entertain Keep proclaiming Jesus! May the Holy Spirit fill your worship! Let all things that have breath praise the Lord, praise the Lord!

Finally got to a concert in time to see all the bands! Partly cuz it was my daughters first 'real' concert. I have seen SP back in the early 90's few times, always deliver the goods!! Poppy, the opening band, I figured they were a new band & she might dig them, seemed pretty good, will have to google em. Janes addiction was next, Not sure who the band members were? I think it was all orig. except for Dave? Not sure, they were never introduced. The set was honestly boring, as much as I love this band... Perry's voice, it's just time, time to hang it up my friend. The mix didn't help the lack of hearing him. The 'stage show' was pretty lame, it was his "yoko" wife & 2 other chics dancing (on each other sometimes) honestly sometimes THAT was the best part of the show. I just feel (like Lennon) he's tried to include her in so much, to most peoples chagrin, like his band 'satellite party' and now she is mandatory in JA's stage show, c'mon Perry... STOP! (HAHA oh the pun!) FINALLY SP takes the stage, a very sparse stage, just a big screen in back, not complaining, just, no amps in sight, nothing. Visuals were cool though. I cannot express how happy I am to have James & Jimmy back!! Jimmy is a tasteful powerhouse of a drummer who still plays like he was in his Siamese Dream days! And James, who doesn't love the rockstar with the best resting B*** face? The banter between him & Billy was so fun, I'm glad those 2 are side by side again. Sometimes a band can move fwd with new members BUT, the magic was just gone without James Iha. ANYWAYS, great show, song selection was great, couple of deep dives there were 'average' at best (meaning, no one in the audience probably knew them) there was even 3 songs in a row of Billy's best shot at electronic music, it was good, his 'dancing' was not LOL but I never expected BC to bust out some amazing moves, but it kind of reminded me of when Elon Musk tries to dance, again, just... STOP.

My sis and I were in section 219 so we weren't super close to the stage, but it was still an incredible show! Me Nd Adam always put on an amazing show, we have seen them many times now! It's always a fun vibe and a great atmosphere, everyone is always so hyped! It was really cool to see them open for Johnny Marr and The Killers, what an experience!! We love seeing them in their hometown most of all and so this Austin show was just the absolute best!!

The last two times I saw Jack White I was not real happy with the quality of the shows…but last night at the Tobin Center he redeemed himself. The band sounded tight and Jack seemed pumped and into it. Thought it was a great show and recommend checking this tour out if you’re on the fence. He rocked. Great setlist. Left me wishing there was a second night.

George was awesome- but was disappointed in the acoustics. For a brand new facility I thought it would sound better. There was a lot of echo, hard to understand anyone talking on stage. I thought the stage would rotate. But the big screens helped tremendously!! Also bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and sink countertops were all wet. That could be better attended to for the price of tickets paid. Very nice facility. Parking sucks. But to be expected for that area of location.

Bon Jovi still writes hits and great anthems. He still sounds great and can still hit the notes without skipping a beat. Phil X plays great and does a great job on Richie Zamora tracks. Tico sounds great and so did David! This show was very good. Decent stage show set up and lights. No lasers or pyro and no jumping around either lol. But I can totally understand that bc they are not young dudes and it's not 1985 or any of those 1st 4 albums era. Jon moved some songs around the set list that was from a show on 1 Apr from Omaha NE but kept it pretty much the same songs He played couple new ones from album 2020 and the great anthem singles from last several decades. If you go do not expect to hear Runaway or On and Out of Love. The new Moody Center Austin TX was very nice. Well staffed and clean. Easy to navigate and good info on their site and app. Concessions and food and drink everywhere. And plenty of Merc stations. Overall a great show and great time! BDT Georgetown, TX

Really disappointed in the small screens on both sides of the stage.....doesn't benefit people on the 2nd floor who really need the screens and they didn't bother to turn the AC on until almost the end of the show.....it was miserably hot in there.....even Jon Bon Jovi had to change into a t-shirt. Prices are outrageous on everything from parking to food and alcohol.....now that Austin has become the new California everything is outrageous!!! Jon Bon Jovi just doesn't have the voice he used to have and at certain points you couldn't even tell what he was singing. I really wish he did more top 10 hits that most fans remember about Bon Jovi.
