Alley on Main

Crystal Gayle was great! It was so good to hear some of her old hits, new songs and country music oldies. Her voice remains amazing. (Peggy Sue's microphone didn't pick up her voice very well. ) We enjoyed the special treatment the City provided Crystal Gayle: key to Paintsville, 9/30 as her official day, etc. Very nice. This was our first concert in Paintsville and at the Alley; won't say " on Main" because the event venue was outside, not in the building as we expected. That was quite the surprise; we were not prepared. Thank goodness for the small metal bleachers! Otherwise, we would have been sitting on the ground or standing. Also, we were very impressed at how well the bands set up to continue the music! Each hour featured a different group on alternating stages. Good job!!!

Incredible show! Willie gives his all in his performance. His pure spirit and love of the music shines through in that amazing voice, not to mention some incredible, guitar, banjo, and harmonica playing. The band backing him is also first rate. A great experience!
