AO Arena

This must be about the 15th time I’ve seen Slash but I’d say it was the weakest gig out of all of them. He’s still a magician on the axe, his stage presence is second to none and his solos are unreal. But let’s be honest, we’re all there for the bangers that made him famous. I know he’s put 4 solo albums out now, 3 of which were with MK&TC, so he has plenty of original material without going back to GN’R or VR. I’m not expecting him to perform half of Appetite or Contraband but at least give us one or two classics. I mean, Bad Apples? Totally rotten that, especially when he’s been doing Don’t Damn Me at other shows on the tour. Also didn’t think Rocket Man had any place in the set list. But other than that he was bloody marvellous as usual - the 15 minute solo to Wicked Stone was especially enjoyable.

One of the best nights of my life. This concert, album and Niall mean so much to me and has meant so much to me. The show itself- firstly the stage setting was so retro to old style rag and bone man style setting which was spectacular and simple and nogdaltic all at the same time. The band was great and even on there own would be worth a watch. The crowd was fantastic and added to the electric atmosphere hugely as did the venue. The venue is also easy to access via train and tram unsure about car parking. The VIP gifts that Niall choice were so stylish and in keeping with his choice of stage setting. However we were further forward with GA standing than many who had paid for early access. Unsure if this was just pure luck. Therefore the view we had with GA standing tickets ending up 2 people in front of us to the barrier meant we got an amazing view feeling at times so close to Niall that it was a dream come true and totally surreal. I wished that the evening could have gone on for longer. The set list was a varied and ingesting choice of his music some dating to one direction days, some to previous albums and his big solo hits as well as newer content from his newest album the show the title of the tour and the album. I found myself laughing, dancing, singing, screaming, swooning, excited, happy, and also crying so much was wailing and shaking to his hard hitting balad science that means so much to me. Loved it all so much doing it again in another 6 months time. If I could go and see him sooner I would.

The greatest show of my life. I’ve seen 5SOS once before at Wembley during the Take My Hand tour and nothing beats them! I’ll forever be grateful and amazed at how much work goes into these shows and how much fun they seem to have! Love them forever🧡

So grateful I managed to get tickets to see the black keys . This will a gig I will remember forever . The seats we managed to get where closer to the standing area so great views of the band . The supporting acts were good , I like some of the tracks by spoon which were quite catchy , Shannon and the clams I liked their sound it was different to stuff I heard before and I also liked that the singer had Manchester ancestry 😊. The black keys rocked though , I couldn’t stop dancing like a idiot probably haha , but the atmosphere was amazing and I was glad Dan had mentioned to some member (beef cake) of the crowd to calm down in a tactful way , it’s good for everyone to have a safe fun night and appreciate he was thinking of his fans safety . Will love to see the black keys again if I get the chance

I approached this concert with caution. I have been a big fan of John Fogerty and CCR for over 50 years. Just about the same time he has been banned from playing his own songs live (complications with licence owners). I thought his advancing age and the fact he hasnt played these iconic tunes for such a long time that he would be out of practice and energy. How wrong could I be. John played alongside his two sons (whose band Heart Har where the excellent warm up act) and had every bit as much energy , enthusiasm and commitment as his younger offspring. I have waited a long time to hear these songs played live and I was not at all disappointed. Fantastic renditions almost note for note to the originals. Wonderful memories playing on the big screen (he was at Woodstock for goodness sake). Tribute to Tina. Everything I could have wanted. I really hope he returns to the UK....and soon.

He was incredible,no 2 on my bucket list ticked off, only waited 54 years to see him, didn't disappoint, his voice perfect,and he is one hell of a guitarist. If you see this guy, you will not be disappointed, you will leave with tears in your eyes and the biggest smile on your face because you will have seen a legend 🎵

Absolutely amazing show. Simon and the boys was on top form. So many songs from the past that brought back so many careless memories . I was instantly a teenager again listening to them. Sadly my body said I'm not 13 anymore though 🤦‍♀️ Also what a great performance from the brilliant Jake Shears. Brilliant night from start to finish. Love DuranDuran for over 40 years and always will ♥️

Been listening to Chris Brown since I was 9 so this was hyped up in my head big time. He didn’t disappoint, good selection of songs from old to new and I had the best night! Went Early Entry so was at the barrier and easily the best thing I’ve ever done. Insane!

Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem and team are exceptionally talented! I love Kendrick’s artistry and there’s no ‘buts’ about it. All the arenas need an American Store and Pizza Hut sponsor pronto! The current food, snack and beverage options are poor. Kendrick’s stage monitors needed to be much larger and higher. Patrons at the back sides of the arena were struggling to see.

The guys are getting older now but they still put on a great show and blasted out all the favourites that the crowd loved. Great light/video show but for me the highlight was how seem-less Simon McBride fitted into the line up, what an absolute talent this guitarist is. Absolute privilege to see this guy perform all the Deep Purple classics with such perfection. Keep on rocking guys and thank you. Blue Oyster Cult as special guests were awesome too, great gig.

Bon Iver where like no other - best experience ever. Absolutely unreal and mesmerising. Every song and light display was so unimaginably beautiful 🤩🥹✨ However Manchester AO really messed up, waited over an hour to get in and missed the beginning of the set. Also was not allowed to go back and see the merch after being ushered out in the wrong direction!

I have seen some great bands this year such as The Eagles, and Duran Duran for this time. The chance to see a Roxy Music show live was the most unlikely I thought I would ever see! They started with The Main Thing from Avalon album,and there’s quite a few songs from Avalon in the show like To Turn You On, Avalon, and More Than This. A selection of songs from the first two albums Ladytron, and Bogus Man from For Your Pleasure. Every Dream Home a Heartache were highlights with powerful guitar playing from Phil Manzanera. A great selection of the Roxy hits were also well received by the crowd like The Strand, Love is The Drug, Dance Away and Oh Yeah On the Radio. Two other songs from Flesh and Blood Same Old Scene and My only Love were all played brilliantly well. The band finished with thier first hit single Virgina Plain which got the loudest cheer of all! A great show from the band with Bryan Ferry still in good voice with original members Andy Mackay on saxophone and oboe , Phil Thompson on Drums and Phil Manzanera on guitar all giving strong performances. If this is the final appearance of Roxy Music after 50 years then they said goodbye to thier fans with great style and much panache!..

What. A. Show!! Honestly, that was the best live show that I have ever attended. The support acts were great, the mix was perfect, the performance was excellent and the crowd were well up for it. Me and my friends were lucky enough to get right to the front, and the pyrotechnics were amazing! It was a night that I will always remember. I am truely grateful that I had the opportunity to attend. Five stars. If you haven't seen PWD live, then you are missing out. They are on another level. Thank you boys, you're awesome. 😘👌

We actually went to the Nottingham show, but it was excellent, especially after the 2 year wait! Lorna Shore and While She Sleeps - both favourite bands of ours - were brilliant support acts, commanding the big stage and showing they are headline acts in their own right. Parkway Drive didn't disappoint either; an energy packed performance with a good set list, well balanced between some of the excellent new stuff and the old bangers!

This was a really great show but I feel like the line-up and times could have been better explained. The support band were okay but it was A LOT of waiting around with an 8-year-old from 6pm-9pm when George actually went on stage. That being said, George and his band were great and we had a great night, with seats really close to the stage giving us a great view!

Awesome gig as always. Machine Head never fail to deliver. New band sounded spot on and Robb crushed it. Amon Amarth put on a solid performance and I will definitely be seeing them again. Hopefully both bands will back on UK shores again very soon 🤘🏼

I loved her show! I was there to see Billie and Jessie was the support act. And I absolutely loved her! I loved her energy and her vibes, before I only new shutter island so I didn’t really know any of the lyrics. But after the show I followed her on tiktok and I regret not knowing her before! Anyways I absolutely love your music Jessie and I love ur new song mutual friend. :)

Absolutely brilliant, outstanding show kicked off by quality support in a band called Creeper who did a great job warming up, well worth looking out for in the future! Then the Cult, well what a performance, the band were absolutely stunning, from command of the stage and audience to the musical showmanship, brilliant news to hear Ian Asbury say they have new music on the way and hopefully a tour, thoroughly enjoyed them, if the show had finished then we would have been happy, but, Then the fabulous Alice Cooper, once again an entertaining theatrical performance, from an appearance of Frankenstein's monster to the guillotine, dead babies and hunchback's, an absolutely tight well drilled band, Ryan Roxy, Nita Strauss, Tommy Henriksen, and fronted by the man who plays Alice Cooper! If you haven't already experienced this band before and love rock music and theatre then don't delay! Only issue was it passed too quickly!!!!

Astonishing show. The visuals, the playing and the sound. The sound in the Arena is very often pretty crap but not so last night. Hard to believe how much power they generate but it wasn't just about volume its the depth of the sound that sets them apart. All of it helped by the often hypnotising visuals. Mix of latest stuff with a selection of oldies thrown in. Pretty faultless really We've waited so long to see them in Manchester and it was more than worth the wait. I wish could see it all over again.

The gig itself was amazing as expected. Full on stage show by one of the best bands around. We had brill seats and observed the security crew rescuing overcome people from the standing crowd and sympathetically dispensing water, in a scene somewhat reminiscent of a Beatles gig in the 60’s. What wasn’t great was the 40 minute queue to purchase merchandise, and further 20 minute queue at the Moretti bar to watch a laughable performance of trying to buy 4 over-priced pints with 4 people trying to work the beer dispensers, of one of who’s jobs was scooping foam off the top and decanting to make up full pints. We therefore missed the first of the support acts and some of the 2nd. No one knew where to get our souvenir ticket from and we didn’t have time to look, and we were mid-advised about vaping ie where you could. Great band shame about the venue.
