What a great gig! It started off with the support act, Kim Jennett. What an amazingly powerful voice! And great music too! They did a very impressive cover version of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. All the musicians in the band were really good, and Kim's voice was outstanding! I'll definitely be checking out her CD's on her website, and keeping a close eye on when she's playing live!
On to Phil Campbell's B*****d Sons; the entire set consisted of Motorhead songs, which of course Phil played on. The three musicians in the band are Phil's actual real life sons! I can't remember coming across this before; similar family bands like The Carpenters and The Osmonds made it big, but I can't think of a band consisting of a Father and his sons! The entire set was played perfectly by the band, and the vocalist was extremely good also. A very impressive live band. I'd definitely go and see them again!
Found the lead singers stance a bit weird. Spent all the time within songs with his back turned to us and a towel on his head! Hope he was ok?
The rest of the band were great. The gig was all Motörhead due to the 50 years anniversary. What’s not to love? Just wish the lead singer had enjoyed it too. Venue was good
Great time. Good that main set was from 1am. Would have liked Gorgon City to be on a bit longer & play some more of their well known songs. Good venue, drinks not too expensive. Support acts really good
Very intimate, band was incredibly tight, energy was amazing in the crowd, and they were very friendly and down to earth, interacted with the crowd a lot. Loved it
Best gig I’ve been to in ages. Phil Campbell and the B*****d Sons did not disappoint..
Sweet Electric were very good for a support band and the cards (featuring Paul Quinn from Saxon) made a great addition to the show.
I’d definitely recommend and I’d go see this line up anytime.
