Priory Park
It’s not just the scenic walkways and picturesque pond that draws people to Priory Park, it also boasts four bowling greens, tennis and basketball courts, a green gym, formal gardens and the stunning Prittlewell Priory, a 12th century Clunaic Monastery.
The park is also home to Southend’s eyecatching bandstand where local musicians and bands play every weekend throughout the summer.
It’s a great place to pack a picnic and enjoy the sunshine while the kids let off some steam in the extensive playground. Don’t forget to bring your ping pong bats to take advantage of one of the free tennis tables.
