Intimate setting for Christian music with Rett Walker hosting & Newsboys testimony. #elevatemusicfestival . Multi-day Extreme faith production. Great venue + great volunteers. Annual event. Up&rising talent. #inHisimage
The Spirit of God was in this place! We came to worship and Ben n his band brought it!
The show was good and the performances flawless. The venue however just doesn’t feel right for this type of music. The room feels like what it is, a new sterile church. On the plus side, the seats are possibly the most comfortable seats of any concert venue I’ve been in.
I would love to hear Chris Botticelli play in a more appropriate room.
Sutton Foster at Arizona Musicfest - Monday, January 27, 2025
Broadway theatres are traditionally 'Dark' on Mondays with no performances. But Arizona Musicfest in Scottsdale Arizona was so lucky to have Sutton Foster grace its stage on Monday, January 27, 2025. The engaging 'girl next door’ Sutton gave an amazing performance mixing ballads from her Broadway musicals with comfortable conversation with the audience about the roles she has played and her seven-year-old daughter, Emily.
Accompanied by Michael Rafter on the piano, Sutton's performance can only be described as heartwarming and delightful. Her opening numbers 'Something Coming (Could Be! Who Knows?)' from West Side Story, 'Imagination' from Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, and 'Slap That Bass (Zoom, Zoom Zoom)’ from "Crazy For You" set the stage for a magical adventure with songs that lifted up her AZ Musicfest fans. One surprising Sutton Foster song was Dan Fogelberg's "The Same Auld Lang Syne" sung from the woman's point of view. If I had a glass, I would have drunk a toast to her tonight.
No wonder Sutton Foster is loved by audiences for her performances as Princess Winifred in “Once Upon a Mattress", Marian (the Librarian) Paroo in 'The Music Man' and her fantastic role as Reno Sweeney in the "Anything Goes" revival. Although known for her dancing as well as her singing, Sutton Foster did not do so at this AZ Musicfest concert. However, I feel that the audience was 'Dancing in the Streets" as they left the Highlands Scottsdale venue after this special performance.
WOW - Pink Martini made their second appearance at Arizona Musicfest, and the audience couldn't have been happier—both newcomers and veterans enjoyed their musical magic.
The group sang in a variety of languages and played numerous instruments, showcasing their talent as the best of the West.
They concluded their performance with excerpts from 15 songs in 15 different languages and even invited the audience to join in a Conga line throughout the auditorium.
It was a fantastic way to kick off Arizona Musicfest's Winter Concert season!
Always love their show! Best band of the night!!💕
All of the performers were great, but CAIN of course was my favorite!!! I love their devotion to the Lord!! I pray that remains as they become more popular! 🙏🏼✝️🎵🥁🎸🥰🌞🥳
Cochren & Co were amazing. He is a MUST-see & meet! He even signed a shirt fir my daughter who was unable to attend (she loves his music). Hope they come back to AZ soon!
Marie was fabulous as always. But the crowd was a rude older age crowd. The couple in front of me and behind me show such disrespect by not applauding, even if you wanted to start the clapping they would not join in.
Awesome to meet a fellow homeschooler and see Mathew West!
It was amazing concert, I will definitely go next time.
