Knew Conscious

Haana was incredible. Her music soothes my soul in a way that no other music can (and this is saying something, a lot of music moves me profoundly). Her performance and presence has a graceful intensity that is impossible to describe in words. Music is my favorite way to connect with people. To get down so hard to her music WITH her, to see her loving and luxuriating in the music she has produced and listened to so many times before, was an experience I will never forget. 💜🙏

Cat Party was funky, fun, and got the crowd on the dance floor early. As always a class act and great to start the night. Although Ghost RIde had a last minute change, MIDIcinal came out and threw down an exquisite set that seemed to continue the energy from his earlier performance at shine festival with the MIDIcinal live band, One member of which, Vinny Crippin ( also from Melody Lines) made a surprise appearance on electric guitar and rocked the crowd to round out the set, bringing us into the headline act. WOODEN FLOWERS; a soothing and unique combination of sub frequency that moved the body, mind, and soul with the cleverness of guitar that, minimalistic at times, put just the right touch on the tunes while showcasing a plethora of unconventional and artistic playing techniques. I look forward to following this entire line up as they continue to showcase their talents locally and nationally. I also cannot bring myself to finish my review without singing the praises of the venue KNEW CONSCIOUS is one of Denver's best kept secrets, and has become one of my favorite venues to visit. It has a great atmosphere built by artists for artists and has a staff that is as friendly as they are helpful. 10/10.
