Romanie was actually that funny and so real and played absolutely phenomenal music! Incredible gig!! Also if I could I’d add 5 extra stars for getting Red Hill to open because they’re always f*****g brilliant.
Great evening at The Junk Bar in the cosy downstairs lounge. Minnie Marks bluesy guitar was the perfect opener.
Kathleen's performance was both intimate and powerful and hearing her share the story behind songs was an added bonus. Powerful and punchy Kathleen and JZ on bass and Jackie Barnes on drums produced some amazing guitar and drum solos. Less rock but equally memorable was acoustic version of "The Cost of Living".
Kathleen is a force! An amazing guitar player, dynamic and expressive vocalist, armed to the hilt with hook-laden pop-rock songs, a perfect blues edge and plenty of soul. She's honest and great story teller, you won't be disappointed. Kathleen is the injection that the Australian rock scene needs right now! Grab a physical copy of her debut album "Nobody's Baby" and just leave it on repeat, because at first listen it's jaw-droppingly good and then only gets better on repeat listens. Thank you for existing and realising this record, it's certainly inspired me as musician and songwriter. <3
The Junk Bar is also a lovely, warm and inviting space. Very intimate, with the perfect vibes. Finally, Minnie Marks as the support was a stroke of genius! Minnie does it all and it looks completely effortless and 100% authentic. If you get a chance, go see her too.
The venue is excellent. The acoustics and sound was beautiful. Very intimate show. Minor Golds support act was an excellent choice, very talented and entertaining, would see again.
Minor Gold were fabulous and sounded like magic. What a show. Highly recommend seeing them live.
Excellent show by both John Craigie and Cat Clyde - brilliant music in an intimate setting, each being very engaging with the audience in their own way.
Quite brilliant
The venue had ambience and a personal vibe. Minor Gold were fantastic; harmonies sublime and we are excited for their upcoming album. A fabulous night.
Fabulous venue. So intimate. Things of Stone & Wood were awesome. Took me back 30 years! Greg & Justin sounded amazing. Would love to see them again. Rocked it!
Always got our support Cap! Appreciate our encounters! Great show, venue was a little small but it made it a little more intimate I suppose. Overall, great night had by everyone!
