Hidden Ridge Camping

There are very few human grunts, howls, or snorts that could adequately describe the awesomeness of last weekend’s KY music festival! Just what the practitioner prescribed! Sleeping in the Woods was a totally immersive experience for me, as I’d traveled seven hours from Michigan to get there a day early, before the rain hit. Even despite the mud and slippery clay on fresh straw, The Morning Jays’ set on Saturday evening was not to be missed. Simply out of this world! A stellar performance on a magnificent, sunny day by Wesley & Aaron Smith in the hidden hills of southern Kentucky. These guys literally put the icing on the cake for me last weekend. I’ve become a major fan of their music and a great admirer of them both for their soaring level of talent and professionalism. As Nick said when he introduced them, there’s hardly a band in KY these two haven’t played with, which demonstrates the enormity of their versatility, as well, both on and off stage. What a great time - such a relaxing & chill experience and the music was fantastic. (Kind of wet that first night due to the weather) but love to hear lots of new singer/songwriters and of course, Nick always puts on a great show!!
