Clever bits and so much more than I expected.
Great set of new and established material, plus previews of upcoming projects. Tight band, good audience rapport, clear sound, articulate playing. The best.
Not very often can you get a chance to see Marc perform and this show was a gem! On the heels of a new album and a great venue to showcase the sound, Marc and his talented band members did an outstanding job of showcasing the new songs (great cover of Tears for Fears) to taking us back in time to his hits (Survival, Marina del Ray) to a great cover version of Lou Reed's classic hit (Walk on the Wild Side). Beautifully comfortable and throughly enjoyable evening. A classic ending to the night was a beautiful duet with his wife, Amy Sky, singing a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot and his hit, In the Early Morning Rain. Just a beautiful way to end a great show! Thanks Marc to you and the band (and Amy). My wife and I loved the show!
Having never been to the Paradise Theatre, I was both delighted and heartened by what I saw - a neighbourhood gem of a venue if ever there was one.
Regarding the concert - I was enthralled with the calibre of talent on that stage, not the least of who was Marc himself, who weaves a wonderful story of musicality and poetry and takes the audience along on that ride - a perfect night!
Great to see Cara and JD again. I think they sound better every time I see them. Madison Violet and Miranda Mulholland were great too! I liked how everyone played together and one or two songs on their own too. That was better than having an opening band. Thanks for a great night!
The best! Their very talented guests, well know in their own rights were a bonus.
Solid lineup for the Anchors Up tour. A wonderful taste of home (NL) for those living away.
