The Rechabite

an immersive experience

A great gig on a cold, wet Sunday! It was at The Rechabite in Northbridge. Very unusual and a great place. First of all Emily Barker played a set of her songs, before being joined on stage by the massive Menagerie Choir for two songs. Emily’s set was superb, mostly focussing on her newer material, including a brand new song “White Geraniums”, which seemed very personal and was very moving. The huge Menagerie Choir (getting on for 100 people!) took ages to file onto the stage, but it was worth the wait! The sound of the Menagerie Choir behind Emily’s guitar and vocals was stunning and emotional. Then for the second half the Menagerie Choir did a set of their own. I did not know any of the songs they did, but all were wonderful and the choir sounded amazing! Afterwards we had a meal downstairs in the Double Rainbow eating house. Korean tapas! Unusual but really good. The perfect Sunday evening out!

Ok probably the most energetic and infectious show I’ve seen omg so good!! Got barrier and the set list, had a wicked time 10/10 recommend 👍👍👍

Venue was perfect to carry the sound of these artists. Disappointed that John didn’t play more. However Jeff Lang was absolutely brilliant. Did enjoy the 3 artists together and all given individual time to present their instrument skills or duelling. This was more Jeff Lang’s show who I had never heard of but totally awesome.

Awesome my friend and I loved it. First time seeing Grace and Ben and now can’t get enough of Grace’s music

AMAZING Great fun wonderfull music

The band was great. The lighting was very poor. It was like looking at murky, cardboard cutouts on stage. Just a hint of light on their faces would’ve been wonderful. Nevertheless, great band.

Regurgitator can do no wrong! Even after all these years, they are still full of energy and rocking hard. With a great mix of songs from their new album, and their older bangers, this was yet another high octane gig of theirs which absolutely did not disappoint.

What a great night! Old stuff, new stuff… really hit the spot!

Even when over half of their songs are new material, they are just all so amazing and talented, loved it. Great night x Also I got the set list, cheers to Luke for that :)
