I saw IDK HOW at Brighton Music Hall earlier this year (March 2024) and had to see them again for their 2nd round of touring. The show itself is always amazing. But, the crowd isn’t always the best. My only wish is for the people and the environment to feel more welcoming. I very much love this band and have no complaints about them but, the fans aren’t the most welcoming crowd.
The venue at Big Night Live leaves a lot to be desired. If you don't get there early or have some special ticket then good luck finding a good view. The merch booth was a single file line that took any 20 minutes to get through when I got there about 30 minutes before show time.
Now on to The Warning... they put on an amazing show. High energy, sound awesome and they are so talented. I'll definitely be seeing them the next time they come around although I'm sure they'll be in a much larger venue.
Don't miss them if you like great rock music and an awesome show.
The concert overall was a good time. However, a few things went wrong including Caskets canceling, and DeathbyRomy having major technical difficulties. I went to see Crown the Empire and DeathbyRomy so I was a little disappointed. Set It Off puts on a good performance, but they're a little generic and remind me of other bands. The crowd surf by the lead singer was pretty cool. Sink With Me who filled in for Caskets did a fantastic job. Big Night Live is a brand-new venue and has hosted some fantastic bands. If they keep putting show on, I'll keep going.
Crown The Empire put on a great show as always. They were the reason I went and I'm glad I did because I got to see DeathbyRomy. The concert had some issues that took away from the overall experience, but the show was still a fun time. Big Night Live is a brand-new venue that's super easy to get to. The floor is kind of small but there's plenty of viewing area around the perimeter. I like how they set up the band merch in the back away from the stage so you can talk to the others during the concert.
The concert overall was a good time. However, a few things went wrong including Caskets canceling, and DeathbyRomy having major technical difficulties. DeathbyRomy overcame huge problems while on stage and gave the crowd an incredible show despite everything. The best part of the show was meeting the group. The ladies were so nice and thoughtful to listen to my story and thanked me for coming out. Sink With Me who filled in for Caskets did a fantastic job. I hope DeathbyRomy comes back to Boston so I can see a full show.
Honestly I haven't really listened to Nora En Pure that much so I can only comment on the overall experience. I thought the two opening acts were excellent they both got the crowd in the mood. I presume Nora En Pure was playing her songs, they sounded kinda familiar, very heavy on the bass, the flow was good, the atmosphere was great. Overall I had an excellent time.
Big Night Live is the perfect description of the event. From Ashes to New was meant to headline. The line-up was an awesome mix of rap and metal performed by four talented young groups. The venue is new and fresh that gives you multiple experiences. You can jump in the pit, hang by the sides or just walk around and soak in the atmosphere. Matt and Danny are a tremendous duo on stage. The back-and-forth rap reminds me of The Beastie Boys which is my greatest compliment. I saw these guys play The Paradise in Boston Jun 29, 2022 and I've been following them ever since. I think they are the future of music that blends rock, rap, and metal.
Catch Your Breath put on a fantastic performance. Josh is a special person. He stopped the music when a young fan got knocked around to make sure they were ok. I got a chance to talk to him during the show, and I was blown away by his genuine appreciation for the fans. Their music is fresh and new. It has a mix of genres that give it a unique sound. Big Night Live is an awesome new venue in Boston, It is definitely worth checking out to see some great bands perform.
The Word Alive is a headliner as far as I'm concerned. They have a ton of energy and connect with the crowd. The show wasn't as rowdy as The Palladium, but it was still awesome. Big Night Live is an amazing new venue in Boston. It has a big event feel with an up-close and personal experience. The best part is being able to meet the bands and personally thank them. I was able to get a photo with a few performers and I got the chance to just hang out and talk to them. Tyler Smith is an amazing person. He hung out after their set to take pictures with fans and thank us for coming to the show. I've seen The Word Alive before and I will see them again. I look forward to them coming back to Boston, and I'm definitely going to more concerts at Big Night Live.
Ekoh reminds me of a lyrical machine-gun. The speed of a few raps made me think of Fu-Schnickens. He has a ton of energy and connects with the crowd. Big Night Live is an amazing new venue in Boston. It has a big event feel with an up-close experience. The best part is being able to meet the bands and personally thank them. I was able to get a photo with a few performers and I got the chance to just hang out and talk to them. I'll be watching for Ekoh to come back to Boston, and I'm definitely going to more concerts at Big Night Live.
I had the time of my life at the show last night I was right in the front on the floor right at the barricade the whole show. Every one of the bands were amazing and From Ashes to New played every song I wanted to hear them perform. It was my first time seeing them ever and I have been following and listening to them since they have started. Both of the singers during the show kept looking right at me while they were singing because I knew all of the words to every single song that they were singing. Also I was headbanging to the songs and getting into the show and enjoying it and I had alot of energy bounce up and down and really getting into the performance.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 I will definitely go to see them again and again and recommend people to go see them perform.
I wasn’t sure what to expect walking in. The show was beyond all expectations. From Nita Strauss walking the audience up, to the final guitar notes from Wolf’s guitar, this show did not disappoint. Wolf has a mesmerizing voice, unbelievable guitar talent and an awesome demeanor. Mammoth WVH rock hard, every song, including two incredible acoustic performances. Seeing Mammoth WVH as a headliner is a must!
Nora was amazing. The music & the video from her (& the BNL LED walls) were world class. The venue & Funktion-One sound system at Big Night Live is top notch. All these are 5-star elements.
The only reason I give 4 vs 5 stars is the start time. Nora didn’t come on until 12:30am, and only for 90 minutes. The opening DJ was ok, but not even so much into his own music. No movement, dancing, waving, etc, So it was a long wait for Daniela to start.
And because Boston closes at 2am, there’s always 1-2 songs starting at 1:48am that bring things down. So, we’re getting an abbreviated set from a big name act.
I’m used to headliners playing a full 2 hour set from midnight. Other big names I’ve heard in town - Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Seven Lions, Kerri Chandler, Peggy Gou, - they’re all pros playing full 2-hour sets. I mean, it’s nit hard - I play a full 2 hour set of *new music* every Friday. Maybe I’m just not able to have the juice of a star to play shorter….
Either the artists are being too full of themselves, or Big Night Live is cutting 30 minutes to pay them less to make more profit. (I note Black Coffee was at BNL the night before & had the same schedule. Is it the industry, or BNL?
Either way, it takes a star off my rating.
I absolutely loved her ! she sounds just like her songs and it was a healing night for me. Between songs from KiKi and Grudges and taking it all the way back to Ex I sung my heart out. I was standing on the chairs screaming every word to every song and I hope she noticed ! my support for her runs deep and I’m so proud of her journey so far. I drove all the way from connecticut to see her and it was worth it. I have to see her again 10000000/10 experience.
Nice event, well attended by an energetic young crowd that seemed to know all the words to the Abba songs
One problem was with box office tickets. The ticket price was listed as $20 (plus annoying fees for online purchase.) We opted to purchase tickets at the box office and were charged s surprising $32.50 + $2.50 each. Seems like a Big NIght rip off.
Outstanding!! My teen and I were 45 minutes late for the VIP meet and greet, due to Boston traffic. When we arrived the meet and greet was over. The guys who worked for Big Night Live were amazing, they asked us to hold on a minute and they went to talk to Aidan and his manager. The manager came and got my teen and I and Aidan could not have been nicer to us. He really made my child's night. His performance was GREAT as well. After his show he stuck around and met more fans and was a great young man all around. We wish him lots of success!
Firstly, the venue was impressive. Moreover, the venue was clean, took the rightful precautions where I felt safe, and the staff were direct and nice in addressing any questions myself or my brother had before the show. The VIP Meet and Greet was a memorable experience, even though I have done a VIP Meet and Greet experience with Johnny Orlando for one of his most recent short tours, in Boston, this VIP Meet and Greet experience was more memorable than the first since when arriving at the venue myself and my brother were greeted by Johnny's kind parents and directed us to the VIP Meet and Greet with Johnny. During the period of time where both of Johnny's parents were taking me and my brother to see Johnny, Johnny's mom was extremely kind and I shared a nice conversation with her. In regards to the VIP Meet and Greet experience with Johnny, as I have done it before, I was still super nervous and excited to see Johnny as he is one of the most kindest, caring, talented, humble, and handsome artists. In addition, Johnny is one of my favorite artists that I have been following since the beginning of his career. While I don't know Johnny personally, I will say that all of the following stated shows through his music, social media, and interviews. Lastly, in regards to the show, I did enjoy it, but, since I was mainly going to see Johnny Orlando perform some of his new amazing songs from his album, although I understand Johnny was opening for Ali Gate, I wish Johnny's performance was longer. Overall, it was a great, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Hope Johnny will come back to Boston whenever he tours again. Thank you to Johnny and his team.
This show was simply a fantastic, soulful, celebration of music and Yola. She's beautiful, inside and out, wise, fabulous lyrics and even better music arrangements with a hot, powerhouse band. Top show of the season for us. And, this venue (our first time here) was stunning. A true adult, clean, intimate spot for adults to enjoy amazing sound and unfettered access to a great vantage point of the stage. Super ass great night!
Show was freakin spectacular. So many people were there and it was crazy to see how this smaller band has blown up. So proud of these guys. Their music matches your mood and the lyrics are like telling a story as if you’re along for the ride. All of the boys are amazing musicians and give the concert the energy and vibe of your dreams. Looking for where I can see them next without breaking the bank. Just a couple of really cool dudes with great energy and killer music!! Thank you PP boyz for a night to remember 🍑🤩
words can’t describe how AMAZING this show was. it’s january now and i’m still wishing i was there again, i can’t wait for more of their shows and it was totally worth the sore feet from jumping non stop and a sore throat from absolutely screaming the words to their songs… not to mention dewayne was FANTASTIC. totally surreal to see my favorite band and this was one of the best days of my life by far <3 (here’s a pic of kras i got from the concert!)
