George Clinton and P-Funk never disappoint…they dug way deep into their crate…they did the early soul (Testify), the R&B, the funk, some hip hop, some DC go-go, and they even rocked da fk out too!!
It was amazing. I was so impressed by Dean. And he saved my life with his music. He is so talented. And I hope one day I’ll see him aging. 🥰
This show was so much fun, I didn’t want it to end! Smiles on everyone’s faces throughout the venue. You can’t be unhappy watching of Montreal perform this album!
Superb. Love the Judy garland over the speaker to start the show. His set list was great and varied including two Leonard cohen songs. Some old songs. Some new songs. He messaged Canada's pain due to The disease of trump. He plays a beautiful Mozart style piano. He sounds like how somebody would sing in a church in Rome. Really enjoyed the show. His piano mic was better than his guitar mic. This man oozes talent. This was my first time seeing him.
Kim Deal and her 10 piece band played her new solo album in its entirety, then a selection of The Breeders and a few other solo cuts. Kim is relatively shy, cracking a joke or a big smile in between songs. She seemed genuinely happy performing and appreciative of the audiences applause. I love her unique style of music and love how humble she is. She is an Indie Icon and puts on a great show. Her new album mixes more jazzy elements to the mix and includes horns, violin, and cello. I admit, it threw me at first. But Kim and her collaborators know what they are doing. The songs really shine when performed live. Kim Deal is a treasure, and I'm so grateful to have seen her in the different stages of her career! She's a must-see performer in any style or configuration she performs!
The venue is great- not a bad seat in the house. Travis was brilliant as always. Their shows always leave me wanting more.
Great band too political. I didn't spend mullah to see that.
I've been aware of you for some time, but the first time I saw you perform was 2 years ago at City Winery with Aimee Mann's Xmas show. You knocked me out then. I saw you again last night in Norwalk, and you knocked me out again. By the way, you look amazing in a Top Hat and Tails. You were great. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Such a great show at the District Hall In Norwalk! Excellent venue, sound, & the staff was very friendly & helpful! Hope they play there again, really packed crowd!
One of the best live bands in America and beyond.
These guys put on a fantastic show. I will definitely see them again. The venue was awesome too!
Roger is an excellent, engaging storyteller who takes the audience on a jingle-jangle journey across the evolution of folk music into folk rock, with modesty that makes his creative skills ever more worth appreciation
This was not the first time I saw The High Kings concert and it most certainly will not be the last. I intend to follow them wherever they tour if I am fortunate enough to do so. This concert was beyond fabulous. Their songs, their instruments and their wonderful voices were like music from an Irish heaven. And harmonizing, well, they always do it so beautifully. Most importantly, they are all such lovely, warm and welcoming gentlemen that make their audience feel as though they are singing for each and every one of us. They interject humor, smiles and laughter. The instruments they play give off such strength, force and leave their audience in amazement as to how astoundingly harmonious and blended they sound all together. They sang my favorite songs and walked closer to the edge of the stage to be closer to us. Darren knows everyone loves to hear him sing “The Town I Loved So Well”. He has such a strong and beautiful voice that filled the concert hall, sent chills of love, warmth and deep emotion to everyone and it reached out and deeply touched our souls and hearts and made the entire audience jump to their feet with well deserved applause. It was just a magical night that had me running through “The Kate” venue in excitement long after they left. Yes, four Irish lads, true gentlemen, excellent musicians with fabulous voices, stories to tell and so willing to meet their adoring fans with such kindness, humility and appreciation of us true fans. I left their show with my heart overflowing with joy. The High Kings are a true blessing to all of us who love true Irish music and love Ireland.
Best I've heard them in years! Great sounding venue.
If you like Led Zeppelin don’t miss this
Wonderful, comfortable venue. Seats are a little tight(I'm 6'3" 340lbs) Leg room is great. Small and intimate with great acoustics. Band is fantastic. High energy rock and roll. The crowd loved it. a ton of fun. The singer especially is incredible as are all 4 members.
Great performance, unfortunately the sound was not mixed properly which took away from the overall experience.
It was great to see them LIVE in concert. I wish I had the opportunity to have seen the original lineup in the 80s or at least when Frankie Banali continued the band after the 8 year hiatus. But the lineup of the band right now carrying on the music of Frankie Banali & Kevin DeBrow is just awesome!
John Waite is amazing. Hasn’t lost a bit of his rock and roll voice. Belts it out with the style and substance like it was 1983. Entertaining and engaging. I look forward to the next time I get to see him.
I couldn’t make the show. Boohoo. Next time.
