Corkscrew Wine Bar

I had a lovely time at the Dan Balmer/ Adlai Alexander concert last night! They played: Can't Find my Way Home by Blind Faith, Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell, More Today Than Yesterday by the Spiral Starecase, and then did a tribute to the late great Dolly Parton with her song Jolene. The music and wine flowed, and the entire audience had a great time!

I was not at Corkscrew last night, but I did see Dan on the 2nd at Jo Bar, doing the music of Arnette Coleman. The music flowed, as I ate my delicious french onion soup. I did not know any of the songs, like I usually do, but the lovely surroundings, the the beautiful music, the wonderful service, and the delicious food made for a lovely night overall!

Terry Robb is one of the greatest musicians of his time. He has been on some of the biggest stages in the world through decades of touring with some of the biggest names in the industry. Being able to see and hear Terry Robb play to 30 people in an intimate setting like the Corkscrew Wine Bar is a gift. As a fan, I've seen Terry in every setting you would imagine and, I can tell you that being up close and personal like we are at Corkscrew, gives us all a chance to experience music on another level. We NEVER miss this show! The wine and dessert is nice too!

Terry's acoustic playing, as always, is a marvel. He's a top level guitarist !!

Great place, and Terry is a world class master of the blues guitar. I felt lucky to hear him so close to home, and with parking nearby for my need for a handicapped spot. Thanks for this event!!!

Terry Robb has always been one of my favorite musicians in Portland. I had not seen him for at least a couple years until this show. I was impressed to see and hear that he hasn't lost a step, in fact, if anything, he continues to get better. He manages to combine a wide array of guitar styles, often in the context of a single song. Plus, he's a friendly and nice guy! I hadn't been to this venue before, but it was nice, if a bit on the small side...

Adali Alexander and Dan Balmer made a great duo in an intimate venue. We really enjoyed the excellent performance and interaction.

Dan Balmer's birthday jam/bash was a blast! There was a cake with a guitar on it, good food and spirits served by a friendly and skilled staff, lovely weather, and The Quiet Trio accompying Dan. They did a lovely version of The Beatles' "Yesterday." At the end, we all sang Dan "Happy birthday." I couldn't hear what Dan was saying to the crowd, but I did get to wish my good friend Dan Happy birthday!
