Rams Head On Stage

It seemed like old times seeing Pete perform again though my last time was 2018 in Anaheim. He's been one of my own songwriting inspirations since his 1st Lp came out in 2001 & I saw him play the infamous Fillmore in SF. Great show, great guy! Thanks for the tix, my oldest sister, Elaine who took me to my 1st concert in 1983(Van Halen) loved the show. Go see Pete everyone!

I waited for Jim Messina and Road Runners on November 25, since August. It was a rainy night in darkened Annapolis dressed up in tinsel, but the glow from the Ram’s Head Tavern was welcoming, leading into the night club ambience and intimate seating. I was rewarded with an unobstructed seat on a raised dais, a killer view of the entire band, a sound that filled the space beautifully, and made who have the same music sensibilities in common – loving the music. The set list was put together the same way Jimmy would arrange, adapt, score and instrument an individual song likening it to a movie storyline, script with lyrics as dialogue and characters enhanced by their individual talents while he, the director, encouraged their interpretation with his ubiquitous musical integration. Beautifully opened with Thinking of You from the L&M 1972 album, he gave us what we wanted – a time travel moment to an era of musicianship, exploration leading to expectations that did not disappoint. Stellar performances by band members came together in harmonic recreation of back in the day –horns, reeds, percussion, B3 sounds, Telecaster started off with slow burns, bringing it to its high peak, finale and denouement. Like a wine experience exploding tastes and flavors with a fine finish. Oh, those lovely finishing notes! When Jimmy switched to mandolin, I knew the song Be Free would be incredibly satisfying just as it had in 1976 on the Capitol Theatre stage, Passaic, NJ. After the show, Jimmy graciously came out for a conversation with the audience. He appreciated questions and responded how he meant to hearken the days of small theater interaction between audience and artistry allowing what the audience thirsted for – notes and arrangements that took us back to our innocence (House on Pooh Corner) and life roads taken (Watching the River Run). Great show in a very nice, intimate venue! Third time seeing Sue! She is always as fresh and energetic as a first-time, great show! One nice thing about Rams Head is the adjacent, full-service restaurant with a broader menu than inside the On Stage venue. Go see Sue Foley! Rock, blues, and great stories from an extremely talented and engaging guitarist and singer! She is a great entertainer! Come back to Annapolis and to DC, Sue! A Night to Remember with The Nelsons at Rams Head On Stage - Annapolis, MD What an absolutely fantastic evening with The Nelsons at Rams Head On Stage! This talented brother duo delivered an acoustic show that was both musically impressive and wonderfully personal. They had the audience singing along to their own chart-topping hits like "After the Rain", "Can't Live Without Your Love & Affection," and "More Than Ever," reminding everyone why their music has stood the test of time. But the magic didn't stop there - they paid heartfelt tribute to their legendary father, Ricky Nelson, performing beloved classics like "Hello Mary Lou," "Travelin' Man," and "Garden Party." Their harmonies were flawless, their energy was genuine , and their connection with the crowd made the whole evening feel like an intimate gathering with old friends filled with laughter, great music, and a peek into their incredible family history. What made the night extra special were the fun and personal stories they shared about life growing up in such an iconic family, mixed with humor and behind-the-scenes moments from their career. The brothers are not only talented - they're also incredibly good looking (clearly a great gene pool) - and their warm personalities made the night entertaining and unforgettable. They also teased their upcoming book, "What Happed to Your Hair?", which I can't wait to read. Hopefully, they will return to Rams Head for another great show - and maybe even a book signing if we're lucky! If you have the chance to see The Nelsons live, don't miss it. You'll leave smiling, humming their hits, and feeling like part of the family.

Brilliant show! Ally is an amazing talent & her band was solid. Her energy is formidable and fun - she moved seamlessly & playfully from a complex & powerful guitar solo into a dynamic &:passionate vocal solo. Set list showed off her versatility & range of talent. Always happy to see a show at this venue. And this one was amazing. Can’t wait to see her again. Hopefully she’ll be back around soon.

Great sound! She played a lot of her new material ,plus most of her old hits. She shared a lot of stories about her life ,family and songs. Great place to see a show with good service with plenty of food and drinks. No need for video screens like the large stadiums use. this venue is small and every seat is great. Parking is a bargain @*5 if you sign up and make a dinner reservation on their website after purchasing tickets. A lot of bang for the bucks !!!!THIS AREA IS PACKED WITH THINGS TO DO. THE NAVAL ACADEMY IS A 18 minute walk

The show was great and it was so much more fun to see him live instead of online. Especially fun was the fact that he found a whole new routine while chatting up the audience. I will be curious to see if he runs with it going forward. I also enjoyed the Rams Head Premium On Stage Experience: discounted dinner and parking. (I did not stay for the discounted drink afterward.)

Eric Hutchinson never disappoints! This was my eighth "Sounds Like This" tour show - I saw both Solo Acoustic and Band shows...every show was fantastic!!! Eric's style is timeless - his wit and sense of humor are incomparable, and the SLT songs are every bit as relevant today as they were in 2008. Eric took the audience on a fun tour of his music in descending chronological order until he made his way back to 2008 and then he delighted us with the entire SLT album and lots of fun stories in between the songs. Ian on bass and Zach on drums round out the trio! Zach is an enthusiastic drummer and his solo was fantastic! Ian playing solos on bass was a show-stopper; when he and Eric banter with guitar/bass duets, the absolute fun they have is contagious! While, he must be completely exhausted after performing, Eric sticks around after the show to say hi, sign merchandise and old photos from 2008, and take new photos with fans - a very long line of fans!!!!! Sorry that I am writing this review at the end of the SLT tour because I would encourage everyone reading to get out and attend a show! If you have not seen Eric Hutchinson in concert, you should do so with the next tour! Hopefully, this summer!!!! :)

I saw the Wild Feathers for the first time 4 years ago in an arena and yesterday on a small stage! Both have something because the musicians' voices complement each other so wonderfully and - which I really like - is complemented by the catchy melodies! I'm far from being a real music critic and I'm just writing here how much I liked it yesterday - but what I can't understand: why doesn't the band play with this repertoire and ability, for example. b. as an opener for the Eagles? Steely Dan was out just for that😉 In any case, I wish the band lots of ideas for more good songs and perseverance for the next 10 years and I hope to hear them live again soon - even if I always "have to" travel from Germany to do so🤗

It may have been a dark and stormy day in Annapolis—the latest and wettest in a string of abysmal, hazardous air alerts in the region—but the crowd at Rams Head On Stage came to enjoy the tavern and a rollicking night with Justin Hayward and his sweet touring trio… Mike Dawes, Julie Ragins, and Karmen Gould. They’re a tight quartet, enthusiastically collaborating on fresh arrangements of Justin’s classic tunes, just as sprightly on complementing his newest composition, Living for Love. The Rams Head locals and regulars were there, lively and appreciative. Even the collie from their last appearance on 22nd September 2021 was in the house, well behaved and contented. Where else but Annapolis?! The 15-tune setlist was ideally sequenced: The Eastern Sun, Driftwood, Tuesday Afternoon, The Actor, Hope and Pray, The Western Sky, The Voice, Living for Love, Forever Autumn, Never Comes the Day, Your Wildest Dreams, Question, Nights in White Satin, The Story in Your Eyes, and I Know You’re Out There Somewhere. An interesting chronology that follows a now familiar and well-loved theme. Mike Dawes launches the evenings with his own 5-tune setlist. Ever cheeky and just the lead-in to engage the audience, he’s fond of reshuffling his tunes each night. All are drawn from an 8-tune mix of covers and 2 early original compositions of his own, namely: Jump, Somebody That I Used to Know, Purple Rain, Me & You Together, Be My Mistake, All Along the Watchtower, Boogie Shred, and Somewhere Home. The Rams Head has been a regular stop for Justin’s solo forays since the initial Spirits of the Western Sky tours inaugurated in 2013. He’s ensured a packed house and genuinely appreciative audience in Annapolis. Sound was perfect, lighting lent ambience without being over-the-top, and crew kept everything running smoothly… no glitches. Justin’s no slouch when it comes to humor himself. He remains modest and self-deprecating, not cut from the cloth of preening or hi-jinks. Refreshing.

Rams Head is a GREAT! place to see a concert. Of Good Nature was AMAZING and it appears that they just keep getting better an better as time goes by. The show had so much energy and I was amazed to see they added a sax player to the show... I love seeing them live in concert and if you get the chance to catch a live show you will not be disappointed. They are so much fun to watch live! Thanks for a Great time! I can't wait to see you again.

These guys are TIMELESS! Oh, sure, there are quite a few more wrinkles on stage, but the heart and soul of the band is still there. And the joy at playing good music live to an appreciative audience is obvious. Newest members Ryche Chlanda and Kendall Scott fit right in replacing deceased member Roye Albrighton and absent member Taff Freeman. A guaranteed fun evening!

OUTSTANDING!!! I LOVE THIS BROTHER IN CHRIST!!! YES. HE IS AS GREAT A MUSICIAN AS HIS FATHER IS AS GREAT A WELDER!!! BLESSINGS!!! THE FACT THAT HE IS MARRIED TO SHARON WHITE 40+ YEARS ONLY CONFIRMS MY FAITH IN HIM & HER AS BELIEVERS!!! I WOULD SEE HIM/HER IN CONCERT AT " THE RIVER OF JORDAN " IF THAT WAS/IS AN OPTION!!!

Wow! What a great place to see this dynamic band jn an up close and personal way. So much energy! People dancing in the aisles. Plenty od interaction with the audience. The type of band you want to see over and over again. Everyone needs to see the Squirrel Nut Zippers at least once in their life. Don't miss out!

The Annapolis venue was intimate. The 80's music selection before the show was perfect. Tiffany is a real person. So down to earth. She held a Q&A session in the beginning. It was refreshing to her lovely vocals and see someone who truly enjoys their craft. She has a great sense of humor and shared her life with us. She engaged the audience the entire time. She shared her loves and her passions and projects with us. I was in heaven when she covered a song by "The Cure". What a coincidence. I had their t-shirt on! I am so honored to have attended this event. She is such a positive vibe! Wishing much continued success and love.

Mishka is AWESOME! His performance was GREAT! The new album " THIS LOVE " is now my Favorite! I saw Mishka in New York City on Saturday and I was able to get his new CD plus I was also able to buy the new album on Vinyl which is my favorite way to listen to music. If you get the chance to see Mishka Live Please do so you will not regret it. Also Of Good Nature Rocked :) I did not even know who they were but i'll tell you this I will never miss there show either. Great Shows by totally awesome artiest I will never forget. I want to go to another show, I would have to drive 8 hours one way. It would be so worth it!

This was my fourth time seeing Zoso, and they are as amazing as ever! Jimmy, their new lead guitarist, is at least as good as (perhaps better than) the last one and blew us all away. The set lasted two hours, but it felt like only 40 minutes. I could have listened and rocked out to them for hours. GO SEE ZOSO. THEY ARE FANTASTIC.

The Burning Witches are the real heavy metal deal! They were great last night. Wish their set had been longer, and the stage bigger, but not much they can do about that. B-W were the better band in every way. Energy was high while they played. Rams Head On Stage is a poor venue for a show like this. Tables and chairs. C'mon. That's ok for mellow acts, but not Burning Witches.

Willie and his crew were fantastic. He is a stellar musician and the new trio backing him have awesome support. They all looked a little tight and nervous at first, but their skill-level and expertise won the day. Got to the point late in the show when they started playing Midnight Special a few steps too high and Willie started singing, he abruptly stopped and exclaimed “We’re in the wrong key!” And the four of them laughed a good belly laugh while he switched up harmonicas and took the capo off the banjo and they picked up where they left off. One of the best parts of the show was when Willie dealt expertly with a front-row heckler with a brief set of comments directly at the guy while making eye-contact. The guy never spoke too loud after that. Willie is going to be an American treasure one day.
