CSPS Hall

Last night was the third time we've heard the Talbott Brothers at CSPS, Cedar Rapids' "hidden gem" concert venue and the fifth time in all. As usual, the TB's were stellar! Their backing band was excellent, and their opening act, Haley Johnsen, is not to be missed. One of our all time favorite bands!

They were so fantastic. Fox has an incredible voice range and is great on the guitar. Bones is great as lead and compliment to Fox. Both are a great pair singing original and other tunes. Liked lyrics best "Down By The River"!

Excellent !!

The place should have been packed to see this should be “nationally known” excellent band. What lyricists. What harmony. Each member writes beautiful, haunting songs to a ‘step it up and go’ beat. Excellent banjo, guitar, harmonium playing musicians with a kick ass drummer. I’ve seen them four times and if they played again this week, I’d be there.

This is a very personable entertaining show. The two performers complement each other well. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys unique non mainstream music.
