It's an intimate venue but this was probably the best concert I've been too. The energy from Mushroomhead was unreal. They give it their all and feed off the crowd.
I love how they interact with the crowd after the gig. I understand it's not always possible depending on the venue but maybe this was one of those lucky times. I was fortunate enough to be able to meet the band prior to the show with the meet and great pass. If you haven't seen Mushroomhead, you're missing out. I look forward to seeing them when they come back around.
The guys were awesome as always.
They put on a great show despite the low audience number. Not their fault, Steel Panther was playing elsewhere in the city 🙄
Warrior soul were awesome as always. A real live wire of a band. So much energy & was glad to hear Punk & belligerent . Do yourself a favour and get out & see this band live, you won't be disappointed.
This is the third time I have seen them and I brought my son and three of my friends. Their musicianship is fantastic and a joy to watch. As a lifelong Rush fan I always find it emotional to hear their music played so well. I look forward to the next time.
On first of this gig of four legendary punk bands, good set of usual Discharge numbers plus a few of New World Order, they were having a few technical issues but didn't ruin the gig for me, hopefully seem them on the South Coast another time....
Great show from TVC - but they never disappoint. Looking forward to hearing the new album in full!!
Support act (Motherz) deserve a mention too…a new band for me to “research”!
Only disappointment was the crowd: expected more in attendance (and both TVC and Motherz deserved a better crowd).
Good for fans of the band. The venue was too packed for my liking, so I left after 5 songs. They seemed to be very tight and professional, but I wasn’t feeling any kind of connection, or vibe. There were two support bands. The first were Goth metal, and good, but the second played for far too long, and were a bit boring. The crowd were metal heads 40+ and all standing, talking amongst themselves in their little social groups,, all wearing old band t-shirts. It had a reliving your teens/twenties feeling. I wasn’t a fan in my twenties, so wasn’t really a part of it. They probably had a good time. I’m sure they won’t like this review. I might have had a better time if it wasn’t so busy. I was packed in like a sardine. I give it three stars to be nice. Everyone there was nice.
I booked this just to see Nervosa and was not disappointed. The venue was really nice, very well set out with a bar area at the front and bigger one at the back and a smaller one near the entrance too! Despite the heat outside the venue was a nice temperature where others I have been too are more like a sweat fest by the end. Loved every second of Nervosa's set and would certainly see them again. Some nice merchandise too, and had a lovely chat with the person selling it who recognised my tattoo from Crypta posts! All in all, lovely venue and a great band so see live!
Another great gig from the great man. Fantastic show as always, treated us to a few new songs, along with some absolute classics. Amazing show.
Venue was packed as expected, staff were very friendly, bar prices cheap, a good old fashioned sweaty gig. Excellent night.
As always fat dog were brilliant! Shout out to the support as well. Venue is great but really disappointed by a multitude of fing photographers standing wherever they wanted for however long they wanted completely obscuring the view to the stage for a good number of paying customers.
Please sort that out 1865. Really want to support a great local venue but kind of felt that I might just as well have stayed at home, put the cd on and saved a few quid
Brant is my all-time hero and he's truly on fire at the moment. The new record is a mighty return to form and seeing Brant and Mario Lalli bounce off of each other up close is always a dream come true for me. The 1865 was way short of capacity but it was a friendly crowd with good vibes. Drummer Mike Amster brought some extra punch and movement as compared to the more laid back and organic rhythms of Ryan Gut on the previous tour. Brant's vocals weren't consistent but the sheer joy of the performance is what everyone in the room will remember. Support: Earl of Hell (the vocals weren't my bag but the tones were great) and Moosehead (strong performers but it felt like the songwriting could be more collaborative and coherent) - nicoboycedøtcøm
Good support and The K’S have a slick and powerful performance. Await their 2nd album with interest. Small venue but packed to the rafters with a energetic and knowledgeable crowd
Energetic & fun performance - the band were obviously enjoying themselves!
Unlike the other 2 acts that evening, there was clear differential between vocals & instrumental, so I could properly hear the words I was singing along to!
Brilliant. UKJ have been on my bucket list to see since I bought their first album back in 1992. Didn’t disappoint. So much fun, and beat perfect every step of the way.
Absolutely amazing, cannot fault the show , Jim bob blew me away as his vocal talent hasn’t changed since the 90s very unique and brilliant. Will be watching again .
THANK YOU JIM BOB
1865 is a good venue for sound and atmosphere in my many visits there and this evening was another great night. Kudos too for having alcohol free beer on tap.
I'd seen Oli's previous band Raveneye so was already a fan of the man and this new venture sees him back and if possible better than ever. Powerful, atmospheric but with a light touch when needed. These new songs and band were amazing and the fact that they were enjoying themselves was great to see and infectious for the audience.
A great show from a great band with great songs and the opportunity to see this in a smaller venue is an "I was there" moment I will treasure amongst all the memories i have in my 50th year of gig going.
See Oli now on this more intimate tour as I expect its only going to be bigger venues in future which will be well earned and I will be there.
What a totally Amazin Gig !!! The Orb were just the Orb.. however long it has been (2010 Glastonbury) They never cease to Amaze !!! Dreadzone love ❤ them, getting abit of a regular when I can !!!! Loved every minute of it. My bestie & I booked an hotel for the night which was fab too. Thank you everyone who made our night ,venue 1865. We like it there, a good club. Best night and very H.A.P.P.Y afterwards 👌!!!! Love ❤
Absolutely superb! A fantastic mix of classic Lightning Seeds tracks and songs from the new album. They still sound so good, 30 odd years on from their main body of work. Completely resend seeing these guys live!
