Next Stage

With a very talented artist-in-the-round opening set, Andrea von Kampen came on stage to a fully-engaged audience at Next Stage Arts. Andrea (vocals and guitars) and her trio (fiddle and bass) sounded great and I appreciated both the song lyrics and her interstitial banter, alternately poignant and humorous. Although I had an in-person ticket, I ended up staying at home (2 hours away!) and watching the show on YouTube through my SmartTV. Next Stage has a fantastic streaming system and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to hear every note and see the stage from their 3-angle camera setup.

Second night in a row with Sway Wild on their Northeast tour, w/ Jake Klar supporting!

My wife, Claudia, and I drove only an hour north to Putney, Vermont, Saturday, Nov 5, from Springfield, MA to see, live, AJ and her fantastically talented Bluegrass/Folk band, "Blue Summit" perform. This California-based group of young, brilliant, passionate musicians brought the house to their feet with thunderous applause and a wonderful encore. The venue, the revered "Next Stage", was intimate, lovely and comfortable. Arriving early in Putney, we met all 5 artists, and we parked conveniently at the venue front door, had a great meal at the general store across the street, and when AJ walked by she posed for photos with us, AND, the weather was perfect ... as was the band's stellar performance!! Without a doubt, this group has the youth, stamina, incredible talents, love and passions to become the greatest success on a national and international level. In an arena filled with competitive talents, AJ, with the voice of an angel, and Blue Summit's wonderful instrumentals, this band is destined for musical entertainment's most shining greatness. Quite the engaging trip down memory lane.

It was a good time in a comfortable setting. I’m not the audience participation type so I was content to sit in my lawn chair and watch and listen. I’d return to the venue for sure.

These guys ROCK! Driving Cumbia beat and crazy out of this world guitar. Every time I see them I want more!

Always outstanding. Beautiful, intimate venue. I've seen them with 80,000 "friends," and with 125 friends. And over 25 times. All amazing events.

She is sassy as ever and a great story teller. Great facility. We travelled from Arlington, Vt to see the show and had a great night. Thank you!
