The Magic Bag

Opener was fun! Their set was fun! I love the banter they do between songs. I saw them on the Scorpion Train tour and I wish they did more with the Go to the woods storyline, but still a fun time!

Kind of an old school jam band improv evening. Nice to see Dave Alvin go in a completely different direction than two months ago with Jimmie Dale Gilmore at the Ark in Ann Arbor. He's a fine guitarist and it's fun to see him show off a bit. Good times.

My friend enjoyed more than me. I enjoyed it too. I’m not used to going to a dance club environment. But I look forward to going again. When I get a chance.

This was an intimate concert in a nice venue with not too many people. I'm a fan of the Mississippi Hill Country blues and Cedric is of course one of the main representatives of the genre, walking in the foot steps of his "big daddy". To me, it was a pleasant 90 minutes of music. I appreciated the venue and the sound as well as Cedric taking time after the show for a meet and greet. I had hoped though that Cedric would also play some drums.

A musical smorgasbord. This dude has raised the bar really high for all guitarists. With the four finger technique, he can play any piece effortlessly. Not limited by a PIC. I have seen him try to play with a PIC. He just can't do it. Good for him though. It will take 10 years for other well known players to catch up. But, how can you make the switch? Matteo started out playing Flamenco, so there was no transition. It is all he ever played. Dimeola, stated that Matteo has set a new bar. There is no comparison between Finger- Style and PIC. It is so clear. Everything is as Legato as he wants. The audience can hear every note. He played some Return to Forever, Weather Report, Jeff Beck and Jaco Pastorius. And no, you can't sing along to this stuff. 90% of his concert was improvisation. I could not hear him repeat a phrase. The musical ideas just flow so easily. His rhythm section was equally as talented, with all three taking solos. One guy in the audience yelled "You guys are crushing it" It was flawless and I loved every minute. If you are sitting on the fence wondering if you will pay the $40 and see this band, please don't. You will not be disappointed. Just go. If you don't you will be extremely disappointed.

That young man represents the New evolution of jazz guitar. I had saw so many clips of him on YouTube so I was curious since I was just up in Flint Michigan I am a local jazz musician actually I play the same Yamaha Revstar professional guitar that he does. If he is the future of jazz Guitar it looks very bright. His whole approach is ultra progressive

The venue was well run, staff was attentive, and everything was easy to access. The band was incredible to watch live and they stayed around afterwards to sign merch and chat, which was very cool. A talented group who really made for a great night! Would definitely recommend and see again, and I would love to attend more events at The Magic Bag!

In my top two or three concert ever, easily. Coming from someone who has seen over 70 artists. I had been wanting to see these guys since 2015 and they were even better than I ever could have imagined. Thank you for a magical night.

One of the funnest Halloween nights I have ever had. The Magic Bag was on point all night and I hope that you consider them when picking a venue in the future. Thank you to all.

This is the second time we have seen them at the magic bag and it’s always a good show. Employees are friendly, bathrooms are clean. Show was amazing. We were glad to see that the crowd has grown from the last time they were there and that’s even better to increase their following.

Outstanding performance from beginning to end. She’s a diva with a difference in that she connects with the audience but her band members seemed fearful of failing to please her! There was very little interaction between her and them throughout the performance, except when she formally introduced them at the end. Although she and they did a fantastic job musically, it would be nice to see the same engagement she develops with the audience among her and the band members, and among themselves bduring the show.

Amazing grooves emanate from his intergalactic guitar while the rhythm section builds and crashes as the waves of the ocean. Boogie nights, all are welcome. 10 sodas, 10 bags of popcorn, 20 peach rings. Do NOT miss

These guys bring the house down every show. Age doesn’t even slow these guys down. My legs are a little sore for jumping up and down every song 🎼

Eric put on a great show. He never disappoints. It was fun learning about why he wrote some of the tunes and his trip down memory lane. He is always very gracious at the after show meet and greets where he waits to speak with each person and signs memorabilia untl the last person is gone. The Magic Bag was perfect venue too. He always chooses the best venues to perform. Thanks Eric and band!

Eric's show was unbelievably AMAZING! His music is out of this world, and he is so personable. He even hung around after the show to interact with fans. He was kind enough to sign one of his vinyl records for me. Cannot say enough great things about this show and about this man. Thank you Eric! <3

This band is MUST-SEE any time we have an opportunity! If you haven't seen them perform live, do yourself a favor and check them out. You will NOT be disappointed. They have a tremendous variety of catchy tunes with fun "sing-a-long-ability" featuring great storytelling. The musicianship of the entire band, and the exceptional stage presence of lead singer Scott Terry are top-shelf caliber. The playing is super tight and balanced, with a seemingly effortless agility that can only come from many years of performing together as a group. Having seen them perform a handful of times before, I'm very impressed with the excellent consistency of their sound/mix (which is high praise from me as a former sound engineer). I've purchased quite of few recordings of the shows I've attended and found those to be incredibly well done too. I would highly recommend that because it presents their excellent repertoire in a manner that elevates an extra level of appreciation for what they do by adding the energy level of the audience to their performance. Bottom line is this is an excellent band with great songs and musicianship, that HAS TO BE SEEN to truly be appreciated!

The KMT rocked the house. Masterful guitar work, pounding drum beats and a keyboard player with two brains since he handles the bass with the left hand and dominates that Hammond organ with the right. For 3 guys they put out a wall of sound. They earned maximum respect for making themselves available after the show by coming out front and meeting the fans. Greg, Dylan, Toby were gracious, approachable and friendly. Great guys and a great show.

This was my 39th and last concert I went to this year and was an absolutely awesome show! They played for way longer than I expected and then on top of that did an encore. Such a talented group of guys. Can’t wait to see them again. They’re absolutely awesome live.

Huge fan of Kiss the Tiger. I was so excited when I found out that they were coming to Michigan. The show was absolutely awesome. Meghan has a ton of great energy and presence on stage. I’m glad to see they are starting to tour and I’m looking forward to seeing them every time they are in Michigan. Kiss the Tiger is a band that has the musical talent to go much farther but unfortunately they just haven’t been seen yet by the right people even though I tell everyone I know about them. They would be a great band to open for a lot of rock bands out there to give them more exposure. Until next time!

I loved every moment of this show! These guys are so much fun. I think I may have enjoyed it even more than the kids who were there!
