Yinyin and bands put on a great show inspite of the crowd. I felt like most turned up to chat and drink. Like it's a night in the pub with some live music, which would be fine if it was a pub. The crowd was so loud, the bands just about loud enough at point. I came for the music and left mixed. The staff were lovely and friendly to deal with. It was nice to have toliets on premise.
We waited for two hours after the doors opened, and only got 1h30 of music. With Aurora and Tom Rowlands, there was a third singer who did the whole show but never got presented. Music was good, artists were talented, physically and creatively engaged, but it still felt as if the main artist was its own supporting band...
Well paced! I loved the line up and it was an amazing surprise for Ella to come, her performance was outstanding. Panic baby was an opening and the slow music helped ease the crowd. Ari knows how to control a crowd, she was very interactive, funny and her stage presence was emasculate. Both guitarists for Ella and Ari were so good I was mesmerised. I’m usually not a fan of concerts but I liked this one.
I loved the concert so much. 100 minutes pure art that I love. It costs so little , value and price ratio was the highest. Perhaps the best concert in my life and I go to concerts 5 times a year at least.
I have been fortunate to see The Weather Station a number of times over the last 8 years. The performance at Islington Assembly Hall a year ago was an amazing experience. This gig was another great concert especially as Tamara was using a String Quartet to augment the overall sound for the first time, in my knowledge. As Tamara said, the Strings enabled her to play some of the quieter songs from "How should I look at the Stars" album. The venue was a first time visit for me. The owners are working hard to make it an enjoyable visit.
A wonderful, triumphant return from this lovely band. Old songs sounding as good as ever and tracks from the new album absolutely sublime. My first time at EartH in Hackney and it's a great venue - just the right size and a great atmosphere.
It was so amazing!! Im sad that mgk didnt come down to barriers like he did with the late show after us :( that would have been so cool. but overall it was a really amazing. He was amazing. I hope they get him back soon.
The actual venue staff were amazing. The security at the end were not nice though. Im disabled (had a walking stick) so was waiting and sitting on the benches for everyone to leave so I didn't slow down the queue because im not good with stairs. But the security kept telling me to get up and leave. I tried to explain im just waiting for the end of the queue but they wouldn't listen
Amazing ..as always ! So good they put up with all the Brexit nonsense and come over to the UK to play . Very grateful . A very enjoyable day at Portals festival .
I loved it. The seating stopped people dancing though. At least until the end. Amazing performance. Such a beautiful voice. Funny as f**k commentary from Caitlin.
Fantastic day from beginning to end. Venue, music, staff, ravers.. all combining; bringing perfect vibes. Only point to note for future: ensure to get your cloakroomed items an hour before closing.
It was amazing. I love julien. I had an anxiety attack and projectile vomited and she stopped the music to make sure I was alright. She’s so lovely. Thank you for making amazing music that touches me and so many other people so deeply.
Amazing , Loved this bands music but this was the first time I've seen them live ... off the scale . There albums are beautiful but live , a whole new dimension .
Superb show to a sold out 700 capacity venue.
The Bracknall are following up on their impressive debut album with more great material of guitar based rock with intelligent lyrics and powerhouse vocals.
Well worth catching live.
Ideal venue for King Creosote.
He’s pretty much impossible to classify, but just sounds like you have known his tue an all your life.
An excellent gig.
A stunning perfect Monday tonic and a wonderful way to celebrate the new full moon with the amazing music assisted so well by the young Argentinian support, with it’s incredible front woman! I had admittedly never heard of Blanko White till my GF invited me along to the other stunning element of the night the venue and it’s lighting rig ! I’m now a massive fan !! It was a blend of rock band and life affirming magic, the audience were certainly spellbound 🙏🏻☀️😘🦄
She was great but EartH have to do something about techical stuff at the venue. You cant light up performer only with ledlight, sound could and must be better in that place and they need to close that scene ... it is just ugly like that. Brittany is 100% as always .. Pure love and passion.
As great as ever. Splendid piano and fender solos. Magic voice despite the heat and constant popping cans opening noises from the 2 bars top of the stalls. She made some funny jokes of that. A star.
