The Parkway Theater

What a great show, I have been a huge Tracy fan for many years and somehow she managed to make my fandom grow! I can't wait for her to return to the Twin Cities again! The Parkway theater was a great venue as well, comfortable seats!

Great show! What a lineup! The show opened with a solo acoustic performance by the legendary Rory Block. She was joined by slide-guitar playing Cindy Cashdollar for a few collaboration numbers before a 20- minute intermission. After the intermission, Sue Foley took the stage with pinky, her bassist, and drummer for a dynamite electric set of Sue Foley favorites. During her set, Sue brought Cindy Cashdollar back out to the stage for some collaboration numbers, as well as Rory Block for all three collaborating on the final few songs. What a great night of music featuring both traditional and modern blues performed by three of best blues guitar women in the business.

Lissie’s voice and songwriting absolutely delivered on a much-needed night in Minneapolis! Her performance was a masterpiece! I’ll be planning to attend next year! Also, Jamie Drake was splendid and will look to see her live again!

We had some bad seats, but they were awesome! Really not a bad seat in the house, just some are gooder than others. JST put on a great show. Helluva a blues talent as well as smart an funny!

Joanne is one of the best blues rock artists working today, and she and her band gave us a high-energy, joyful example of why live music matters! Great band, great venue, and great audience made this Sunday night show one to remember. Thank you!!

I have been waiting for Lene to return since 1983. It was one of my first concerts and one of the best. I have had only a couple concerts that were that exciting in the last 40 years. I was delighted to hear that she can still do it. (even though she had a bad cold). It was fun to see her make, with her voice, all those strange sounds that I have been hearing on the CDs I have been buying. She signed here first 33rpm album, so I have a great memory to frame. (Whoever booked this show should get an award!)

It was AWESOME! A great vibe. So many of us in the crowd had also grown up in “superfundamentalist churches”…, as evidenced by all of us singing along to “lord I lift your name on high”! Just a really, really fun show. And the venue was great!

Sonny Landreth always gives an extraordinary show and the Parkway theater was the perfect venue. The rhythm section, including a guest bass player, was spot on all night. Best of all, the sound volume was controlled so each element could be distinguished instead of the muddy wall of sound that seems de rigueur at some other venues in town.

Love Marshall have probably seen him 10 times. His music is special to me. And it’s a night out with my daughter who is second generation fan ! His band was on fire and Fernando is so good ! Venue at the parkway is like a perfect spot !

Marshall Crenshaw and his band were amazing. Did a nice blend of music. MC's music stage presence was fun, and they sometimes dug in deep with some rich-sounding rock. I totally respect the man for keeping it going all these years!

Finally, after listening to them for a few years- a chance to see them. Erica could sing the phone book and sound amazing! Josh is really good, too- vocally and on the guitar. All of them together- they are infectious! Can't wait to see them again. Come back soon

This show was great. Jeremy & Friends were clearly primed for this. Besides a bunch of Jeremy's own songs, which are under appreciated outside his fan base, and which get the full string quartet arrangements with fine rock band support, there are always lots of fun covers with a Halloween theme and guest performers to liven things up. This year's finale of "Highway to Hell" wasn't the surprise it was last year, but it was still almost as much fun, and the whole band was into it, instead of just a bit tentative, like last year. (Of course the very idea of wuss-rock Jeremy singing this is almost as much of a snarky joke as some of his regular songs, but I think everybody enjoyed this and other covers). Other covers, like "Don't Fear the Reaper," and so on, were fun to hear, interpreted by this collective of fine performers. Don't miss it next year!

It was the best concert I have been to in years!!!! He is probably the best guitarist in the world, and his modesty and genuine enthusiasm make him unforgettable!! Seeing him in such an intimate theater makes me grateful for the experience!

The band is vital and sounds even better than the first time I saw them. Good to hear new stuff off the latest album. Great choice of opener and they even lent you their lead singer/guitarist sax player to boot!

Kevin & Quin were awesome! This was my first time at The Parkway Theater and I look forward to a return. Tickets were easy to purchase. I liked the comfy seats with lots of leg room. Everything about the show was terrific.

Al Stewart is amazing!!! Thank you for coming to Minneapolis!!! When your amqzing band The Empty Pockets signed autographs I forgot to tell them to tell Al Stewart thank you, thank you thank you for coming to Minneapolis! Such a great show! Thank you!!!

Shawn Mullins gave a cool performance. I was fully engaged the entire show because of an interesting mix of humorous storytelling and crowd pleasing favorites. His vocals were spot on! Plus the rapport between Shawn, Larry Campbell & Theresa Williams made it an all around enjoyable evening. On the way out, I saw Shawn in the lobby. He was kind enough to allow me to have a photo with him to send to my son and to personally thank him for all his music over the past 25 years. He was kind and gracious and for me, that was a big thrill!

Loved the concert! Everyone sounded so good. Jon's bass player was absolutely crushing it, I would watch a show just of him! Kris' opening was very impressive and entertaining, and Jon's show was absolutely amazing as well. Loved getting to hear some of his newer songs live, too! The best part was that after the show, Jon came out and met with fans, signing merch and taking pictures. Great experience overall!

Rory is wonderfully funny and unique. My cronies and I were laughing, uncontrollably at times, throughout his performance. After listening to him on his pen pals’ podcast and his retired podcast about fatherhood, I believe him to be a genuinely kind , thoughtful and insightful humanoid.

Amazing show! Aaron is a guitar phenom - he’s just incredible! His kindness shined like a ray of sunshine in his support of the McLaren brothers (Connor and Alec). And it continued after the show: he took time to introduce himself, chat with my teenage son and shake his hand! A class act and wonderful band.
