So a friend of mine wanted to see the headliners Amon Amarth . I asked who else was playing and he said Frozen Soul, Obituary(🤘🤘) and Cannibal. Say no more! I told my metal buddies I’m going to the Cannibal show and they’re like” I thought it was Amon Amarth”. Cannibal ALWAYS delivers the goods. They opened with Scourge of Iron. I’ve always said that CC is at their most brutal and savage when they slow it down. Great show, great musicians. Another band that no metal head should not see
Waxahatchee just can't miss. Killer band, great songs, an exciting stage show for Tigers Blood.
FIVE vocalists for harmonies. They rocked the Palace Theater in St. Paul in April, but after 40+ shows this band is absolutely stunning.
Katie Crutchfield had the audience completely enthralled--the crowd behaved like they were seeing Shania Twain back in the day. So many sing-along fans!
The band reworked the St. Cloud songs to fit the band's style. Don't miss out on Waxahatchee!
This place was mostly ALL standing room only!! Combined with the groups starting one hour late, it was four hours of absolute TORTURE for my wife and myself!! A limited amount of Ada seating being “taken” by scammers, the asshats who abuse handicap spaces, when they have no need or disability
, we were lucky to find a spoton a railing, and remained rooted to that spot in physical agony. Couldn’t stay for the Dead South’s encore songs—-we had to limp out in pain!!
This is a horrible venue,,unless you pony up the dough for a sit down upper balcony.
I don’t care who ,in the future plays there,,we won’t EVER go to the Sylvee again!!!
The parking ramp next door was conveniently next door, had it been any further, we’d have collapsed with leg stiffness!! Both of us. No kidding.
Oh yes, they skin you alive on the drink prices. One can of hard seltzer-$15. Aacck! I had one.
I’m 74 years old, my wife 64, and I am still sore a week later, limping like I never did in my life.
Never again!!
As for the Dead south, yes, they are all they’ve ever been, very polished, and entertaining.
Wonderful show, great venue! Both Winnetka Bowling League and Mother Mother were amazing live; I was astonished at Mother Mother's showmanship and coordination as well. It was a beautifully executed performance, and I could tell a lot of thought and attention to detail went into the planning. Everything -- the music, awesome light show, and performances - came together beautifully.
Having said that, it seemed far from constrained by any rehearsal -- Mother Mother is definitely a wild, free-spirited band! They offered a unique experience by switching up vocals. I'm happy to have seen them live.
As a long-time fan I was also satisfied with their selection (and quantity) of songs. I've been waiting to see them play live for a long time; I even prepared to plan a trip to see them in Ottawa before they decided to route their tour through Minnesota and Wisconsin! Thank you, Mother Mother and Winnetka Bowling League for the wonderful show!
When an artist gets tears in their eyes and has to stop in the middle of a song because the crowd is cheering and applauding so loud that he can't sing over them, you know it is an epic concert. I love them so much!
Great show! Caught a paper ball the guitarist of Return To Dust threw! Great performances! Great setlists! Wish the security gaurds were a bit better, a couple people got tossed when they were clearly trying to help, and too much alcohol for my liking. Still an amazing show overall!
GO SEE HER RIGHT NOW!!! half point taken off for some peoples’ lack of concert etiquette. for the love of god if you are a person who likes to move out of your spot back and forth ten millions times to go to the bar stand in the back.
Always an absolutely amazing show!! My friends and I have been following Sevendust since the late 90's and had become friends with all the guys in the band. Our friend, Jeff Rosati, passed away in December. But he always bought his tickets for the shows as soon as they were released, so the Madison show was the last show he had boughten tickets for, so we went in his honor. We parked ourselves in front of Clint, as Jeff would always do, and rocked the night way. I know Jeff was right there with us. LJ & the guys always took time to acknowledge Jeff at shows, as they were actually personal friend for over 25 years, and took the time during meet and greet to let us know that he will never be forgotten and will be forever rocking out and every Sevendust concert.
Thank you LJ, Clint, Vinny, John, & Morgan for all the love you showed him throughout the years. He cherished your friendship deeply.
This was one of my all- time favorite concerts! Jon Batiste is so talented along with his band. Jon creates such a connection to the crowd with his music, it was awe inspiring. It was a great venue too. I highly recommend getting your ticket to one (or more) of his shows remaining on his tour!
Another awesome set from Eva Under Fire opening for Bush. 3/5 of the band was under the weather that night but they still killed it on stage. Got in a short but sweet hang time with Amanda & Ed before they had to take off to the next show. 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼💕
She’s one helluva good entertainer-good crowd interaction, her voice and music are fantastic, she singled out a girl that lost her father and sang directly to her-what a classy move on her part to try to ease her pain and bridge the gap for her loss-it was a highlight of the night!!!
Absolutely incredible. This concert was a highlight of my life. I’ve been trying to make it to a concert for over a decade but because of life I haven’t ever been able to. I would have paid 7 times to be able to get to this concert.
Absolutely the best concert I’ve ever been to. The crowd LOVED Badflower & it was the best selling show of theirs ever. I held the mic for Stalker & it was the best moment of my entire life. The band was so high energy and absolutely killed it as always.
Energy picked up as the show went along. Could tell they treat each other, their crew, the venue staff and the fans like family. Played over a 2 hour set when all was said and done. Being going to shows for 15 years and can honestly say this was the first ever guitar smash I've seen in person haha
Two nights in a row for Fitz And The Tantrums! I saw them the previous night in Chicago. This night in Madison was really good. It was my first time at the Sylvee. Parking nearby was cheap and easy. My complaint about the venue was that VIPs were supposed to get inside at 7:15. Doors did not open until right after 7:30. That would not be so bad, except the temperature was really cold and windy. Part of paying for VIP was to get in early.
Opening act Sammy Rash was really good again. He remembered meeting me in Chicago the previous night.
Fitz And The Tantrums had a short and quick VIP meet and greet. I had hoped for more, but it was still great, especially when Noelle remembered and recognized me!!
The Fitz concert was energized. The crowd and the band were active and jumping all night.
I will definitely see them again and often, SOON!
4.5 hour drive with my son to see my favorite band, again, with meet and greet, and was not disappointed one bit. I wish they could have jammed for another 3 hours, but,,,, I have been to hundreds of concerts in my 56 years, and have done many meet and greets, and these guys are some of the coolest, straight up dudes I've had the pleasure to meet. And I already cant wsit for the next time to see them. I had a friend ask me one time in my car rockin to Exodus (with 15 amplifiers, 62 speakers and 1 subwoofer) "aren't you getting sick of listening to Exodus?" I turned it up so loud i couldnt hear him . I think that answered his question. Music us my #1 hobby, and I wish I coukd afford to have Exodus come and play for my birthday in my big yard and play my requests. Keep writing kick ass tunes guys!!!
These guys blew into town and laid it all out with a fantastic mix of old and new with unbelievable energy !.. Sylvee is a top notch establishment to see a group like this and they didn’t disappoint !.. Grabbed this SWEET poster too !.. 💕

I've been a fan of Ronnie since 2005 and I finally got to see FIR & ETF together! 🤯🤘
The World Alive killed it as well, awesome performance.
It only took me 15 years to finally go and see them in concert 😂😭💀
Absolutely amazing! The positive energy radiates and moves everyone into dance mode. It was a kick your shoes off ,let your hair down and shake shake shake it night. The Record Company never disappoints! Thank you!!!! Please keep rocking Wisconsin!!!!
Literally Ran into Alejandro on the street, great show, nice new venue. Shook hands at the end of his set, gave me a guitar pick. This was my first show swing him play indoors. Good times, I saw him the next night In Minneapolis.
