The Goldens are an amazingly talented family musical group that brings several different genre’s to the show. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before and it’s just what this world needs now…family, faith and love. Five stars all the way. If you get the chance to see them, take it!! And take the whole family too.
What an awesome concert. They sung for almost 2 hrs.after the show William stayed at the stage for over a hour meeting and greeting all. He is such a nice man and chris and rusty were great. His granddaughter Elizabeth is so talented. The band is made up with some the greats from country music. It also great to see and here tim Duncan. If they coming to your area go and see them
Great show. Loved seeing 3 generations together on stage.
It was one of the most family-friendly concerts I have been to in a long time. I little old-time gospel, a little vintage country, some comedy and a couple of Oak Ridge Boys hits that had the small but exuberant crowd on its feet. I hope they give the upstate another chance and come back. I’m sure they’d do the same three hours concert to crowds from 25-25,000. The Golden family, all three generations, is great. The others are such talented musicians.
The show was better than I imagined and David held nothing back. We were uplifted spiritually and completely blown away by his voice and talents. The band and back up singers were larger than life as far as the sound quality and variations in musical styles. We heard gospel hits, Nese Dorma, and popular songs which showcased David’s voice well.
We loved the halftime event announcing the Holt International Adoption organization. We sponsored two little girls.
The only negative thing about the experience was someone was sick with a cough and now me and my husband are terrible ill.
Amazing, as always. Loved the new vocalist, but would have liked to hear the girls do more. David is wonderful and the Spartanburg District 3 Community Auditorium is a great venue
“What do Jesus—dreaming—stool samples—and New Jersey have in common? You’ll have to catch the Oak Ridge Boys Front Porch Singin’ tour to find out! Joe—Duane—William—and Richard (73-78-83-78 yrs. of age) pulled into Spartanburg this afternoon with their famous tour bus for two shows, I caught the earlier. This is the overflow for tonight’s concert’ one of the members remarked bringing a laugh from the crowd. But seriously, the band captivated the audience with such gestures as William walking out into the audience and holding the hand of an older wheelchair bound fan and singing to her. Precious. There was an intimate sit down secession where the stools they sat atop transformed into rocking chairs as each of the boys took turns leading both story and song. The Mighty Oaks Band along with the sound production were top notch and right on the money, and who is the new guitarist, Darin Favorite. I found a new musician to follow, I love his style. You have to just plain old not like music to not have enjoyed this show. I’m super-grateful to have been able to have seen these living legends! DAve
Concert was wonderful in Spartanburg last night. Hoppers are such a blessing.
It wasn’t quite the David Phelps concert I’m used to.
As usual, his singing was excellent!!! He did more talking this time than I’ve ever heard him do in the past, but, that was good too. I remember hearing him say that Bill Gaither never would let him talk like he wanted to. I feel like I know him better as a person now than I did before this concert. He’s a strong Christian man who is a blessing to everyone who has an opportunity to spend some time with him.
Awesome Show!! Ricky and Kentucky Thunder are a very talented Bluegrass Band..don't miss a chance to see them!!
