Excellent show! I’ve been going to see Rising Appalachia for many many years now and every show is a treat!
The news of this being the last season Salvage Station is incredibly sad, as it has remained my favorite Asheville venue since it came about . I hope they’re successful in finding a new home of similar quality and beauty!
Loved the show! Great venue with easy parking and entry process, and good food and drinks on offer. The performances from the openers, Meschiya Lake and crew, to the street puppeteers and, of course, Rising Appalachia themselves were awesome! I look forward to seeing them all again.
Such a fun show - can't wait to do it again! So many great covers, traditionals, & originals - then John Stickley showed up! One of my favorite musicians at my favorite Asheville venue. Good stuff.
I had the Best time last night getting to listen to my Favorite New Singer and my Idol....This young man is an Amazing Singer and to me he is one of the Best Singers since Elvis Presley in my opinion and Elvis Presley has been my Idol since I was a little girl....I love Iam and his personality, voice and all is one of a kind....
Charlene Johnson
The Mammoths have once again brought the heat. This was our fourth time seeing them play. Though we wished they would have been allowed to play much longer this time, everything about it, right down to the incense they burned on stage- setting the tone for the sweet psychedelic jams delivered. Delightful in every sense of the word. Look forward to next time.
Even though drummer, Kris, is out for the rest of the tour, these guys still amaze! Fantastic guest drummers and guitar player sitting in (he is a machine!!). The venue was one of my favorites and I will be back for sure....If UM comes to your area, and you don't go see them, you are missing out!
Gideon is amazing live and the Salvage station was a good location. The lead singer came out later & took photos with the fans still around. Super nice dude! I do hope they come back again.
My first Andy Grammer concert and the dude killed it....There is to much negativity in the world today and Andy is all about peace and LOVE. The energy level was through the roof, he played basically straight through, band was off the charts and I even loved his opening act Devon Cole. If you are down and want a pick me up this is the dude for you.....Who needs money when you can have LOve.
Trevor Hall was so AMAZING. The entire experience was superb. Trevor included The California Honeydrippers which were also great and RISING APPALACHIA singing with Trevor for THE LIME TREE. First time I've been to Salvation Station and will be visiting as often as I can! Great venue too.
Such a great location. Food lines were extremely long but drink lines were very reasonable. Prices of drinks are also much more ready than the big venues. Having Ziggy Marley open was awesome. They put on a great show. Mavis was on point. I wish Robert Randolph had a longer set as he only played for 24 minutes. Trombone Shorty and the band really know how to put on a great show.
Musicianship was superb! Horn section and keyboardist were stand outs. The vocals were just okay but the guest vocalist did a great job standing in for Donald Fagan! All in all they put on a great concert and did justice to the original Steely Dan band.
Great show… good times. The singer has a really good voice, the guitarist is super good, the drums were thumping and right there… the bass player locks it in and the keys were perfect. The band had a lot of fun and so did we. I dig these guys a bunch.
Incredibly show and incredible energy from the band. Starting the tour in Asheville, they clearly were having fun on stage and being out in front of an audience again. The crowd was incredibly supportive and their energy clearly fed the band’s energy. What a great show to see!
The very jerry band was a great way to start the night truly amazing keyboardist,Captain midnight was simply incredible so much energy and love and another unreal keyboardist the bassist was too tight as well everyone really seemed to having so much fun , just a super fun night one of the best shows I’ve been to in a while
The Hip Abduction is incredible live 🙌 You got check em out.
And their music is so loving and funky unlike no other.
Leaves you feeling happy and wanting more, when you experience them live! Truly an amazing group of gentlemen that have blessed our ears with musical masterpieces.
I wish he had played more of the songs that made me a Steve Earle fan. I do understand it's his show and his choice as to what he performs and yes I got a SE shirt. RIP JTE You made beautiful music. I only wish I could have caught a show.
What an amazing performance at the Salvage Station Easter Sunday!
Samantha Fish is a powerhouse guitarist, vocalist & (Dare I say it?) one who knows a thing or two about "Crowd Control."
And CONTROL the crowd, she did!
Accompanying her onstage were bassist Ron Johnson, Sarah Tomek on drums, and Matt Wade on the keyboards.
Performing songs from "Faster," "Chills & Fever" and earlier albums, the Samantha Fish band held the Appalachian Mountains in western North Carolina captive Sunday night.
And personally I enjoyed my bout of Stockholm Syndrome.
Samantha delivered a sonic onslaught of six-string madness as the crowd begged for more. And more is what the got.
With tunes like "No Angels", "Better Be Lonely" "Kill Or Be Kind", filling the venue, this was a show to remember. (And one more thing I can mark off my Bucket List but will have to be repeated over and over.)
If you'd like to see for yourself, check out some of her past concerts on YouTube. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks Samantha. Can't wait to see you again.
The show was awesome but the lighting needed some work at Salvage Station. The guitarist and saxophonist were in the dark most of the show. Understand it was a new stage so probably the kinks will be worked out.
Great show. The mastersons opened the set then played with the back up band. The Steve Earle set was a terrific show. I was at the front and the band sounded great, especially the steel guitar player.
Loved the show
