what a pit, great setlist, Anthrax, perfect setlist, Great fire, great stage and great VIP area. *Cloakroom closes before set finishes.
it was my third time to see Slayer and it was great Slayer never disappoints at a concert first class simply a concert with a lot of positive energy from the church of the Holy Slayer
Excellent , long awaited gig . slayer certainly put a show on and boy it was fantastic .
Great to see them all enjoying themselves as much as we did
The first time at Finsbury Park and i was impressed, good sound and great view of the bands
Anthrax were fantastic bashing out all their classics that get the crowd interacting and were full of energy. For the length of set i am pleased to say they smashed it, think they are getting better with age and am really looking forward to their new album
The line up was great but even without that it would have been excellent . Seeing Slayer again after 5 years was an incredible experience!
Anthrax were fantastic as ever. Humble and close to the public, to their fans. Taking me back almost forty years when I was first discovering their unique style and loving it. An emotional rollercoaster ride through the years, and they sound just as good as back then in the eighties. I can’t wait to see them again next year. Thank you Anthrax!!!❤️
This was an amazing performance from all of the bands, all were great and curated brilliantly bringing up the energy through the day. The first 3 openers I wasn't really aware of but liked, its always good to discover new bands. Kneecap raised the energy levels and were electric to watch. I'm still skeptical as to how much they're Palestinian beliefs are genuine or a gimmick, but their energy and showmanship were unquestionable. Time will tell if this was a performance for the ages or they'll implode into a millie vanillie type sham. Amyl and the sniffers have no such questions to answer on authenticity. They were punk personified and yet still have an endearing personality that connects with the audience. My only criticism is the lead singers vocal range is a little one note, yet she makes up for that with her charisma. As for Fontaines, they're growing before our eyes. They finally looked like a stadium ready rock band, largely due to the frontman looking more relaxed and engaging with the crowd. He looked a true rock star and held the crowd in his hand. The set itself did suffer from a lack of energy in the middle that was a little lengthy and lost the vibe a little. Arctic Monkeys did this when touring their 3rd album, it seems both bands were going through a transitional period where their sound evolves. Having Kneecap and Amyl build up energy which Fontaines matched for three songs, only to then go into stadium rock was disappointing. However they soon recovered and the rest of the set was electric. The break for an encore- honestly, we know you are coming back so quit with the encore gimmick artists!- was poignant because of the political message, but a little clichéd. The crowd knew they were returning so instead of feavoured chanting, they just stood about a bit. More lost momentum. That said, the last three songs were banging. Yet I still think 'Favourite' should be the closer. People were hugging each other- and strangers! A rocking protest concert!
It was a fantastic gig ...I loved every single bit of it.
Thank you Eli and Fur
Good, but not as good as previous and we’ve been to five of them. How it ended was ridiculous!!!
Everything about the event was as it was promoted. Able to get drinks from the bars and food from the outlets without huge waits. The venue and security were really good. Sound system was amazing and the quality early DJ and then the main man Solomun played amazing sets. Great crowd too. So well done on a great event.
Excellent concert. Excellent sound system. The organisers should make an extra effort to stop people bringing "candies" inside.
Not a big fan of Britney Howard's music, but everything else was amazing. Ye vagabonds pleasant. Lord Hurzon's energy and music was fun. Hozier were the cherry on top of it all. Only band that sound better live than they do on the radio. The range of emotions envoked by their music is unreal. A beautiful rollercoaster of melodies.
Been a few years since Thetford Forest when I last saw Pulp. But was transported to a special place when they performed. Very polished, but still a connection with the common audience. Loved every song as they are the soundtrack to my youth. Stage effects were great and Jarvis didnt hide away behind noise, but stayed the front man and sung like it was the last time they'd perform. Great stuff.
Artiste was very good
I'm disappointed that the event time was 11 am but the 1st Act didn't come on till 2pm. In the meantime get a DJ who plays music for everyone and not just the young people foolishness. Just have a good DJ between each act as it was very daunting just waiting ages in-between each act
Pulp were awesome!! Jarvis still has the same energy he had 30 years ago.
Getting out of Finsbury Park sucked!! Guiding 45,000 people through one small exit is not acceptable!!
Pulp were fantastic!
However as usual the organisation in Finsbury park not so. The queues in the main arena for bars and food were by all accounts hours long. I had a vip ticket so lucky in that respect, I could use bars that were well managed, however the ticket was very expensive.
The food in the vip area was a bit poor considering what I did pay. Not much variety and long queues.
Leaving the arena at the end was again dangerous. Only one exit available for most the crowd of 45000 in the entire park. Hyde Park can do well, why not Finsbury Park?
best concert, had an amazing time! sam was the best like usual, security were brilliant getting people at the front water and first help when needed :)
Sam and the lads amazing as always but the venue was a mess. The organisation was not to the level of such a massive event like this one (45k people), didn’t seem kid friendly.
the show itself was brilliant but the organisation at the bars was very bad as if you wanted a drink you lost an hour in the queue. I didn't pay good money to stand in a queue and miss some of the band's that I payed to see!!!!
