Amazing gig from so many aspects - incredible musicianship topped off by Ed's caustic whit 😂. Loved every minute and can't wait to see him and the band again.
Amazing! Loved seeing these guys!
Love this band - great songs - great energy and really looking forward to seeing them again. Sound engineers at The Bread Shed weren't on it all of the time which effected both the Red Checks and Pacifica which was a shame as they deserve better.
Came to see Author & Punisher, yet although only casually acquainted with the material, KEN mode blew me away. The intensity of the show was just draw dropping, helped in no small part by the intimate venue.. a band I'll definitely keep me out for in the future.
Belting gig as always these never fail to deliver!
WATBS!
Excellent as always, great atmosphere too.
Millie Manders & The Shutup never fail, talented, full of energy & genuinely nice people it’s always an honour to watch.
I’m not the best with reviews so let’s just say I highly recommend getting yourself down to the next show you can.
Fifth time I’ve seen them and this was just brilliant. So good to hear the audience singing to the songs and to hear new songs too
Really great sound, been trying to catch them for ages. Could perhaps do with a proper drummer for live performances; the drum machines don't quite fill the room enough.
amazing night the band were amazing, got to talk to Ben afterwards great guy
I saw them over a year ago at the Night and Day Cafe in Manchester so I knew what a good live band they were.I thought their performance and sound at last night's gig exceeded my expectations. Superb. So talented and it is always better to watch and listen to a band that look like they are enjoying what they do best.Cannot wait for the next time they are in town.
They where absolutely amazing great sound got the crowd going
Genuinely one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. The venue had an awesome vibe, doormen were friendly, bar staff were friendly, and Halocene put on one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. I have no idea how they aren’t global superstars already.
well what a wek that was for Novustory , following on from the airplay on BBC RADIO ONE Introducing show for the single , GIVE ME FIRE, the band brought forward release day for video on YouTube , ahead of the launch gig for the track .
first support act was ABOUT BUNNY , a female fronted Indie - pop four peice band , they were followed by BEX , an energetic young performer with her POST - PUNK /GRUNGE style music ,
then it was the turn of NOVUSTORY hit the stage at the venue formally a bakery many years ago .
After only one song , the enthusiastic crowd & everyone else had to leave the venue , due to a smoke alarm being activated.
after about 10 minues , we were alowed to return into venue & undeterred by this , NOVUSTORY carried on with set as though nothing had happened.
And what a set it was with singer Imogen boundind about the stage , and even into the audience .
Songs , I'm never gonna fit in (with these kids ), Monster & the song we wrer here for , Give Me Fire were all well received by the lively NOVUFANS ( as they are known ) .
Imogen was overwhelmed at the end by how well it went , not bad for a totally independent band .
Intimate gig with the fab Novustory. Great show, great performance.
