this was literally life changing i can’t believe i actually saw her perform i was crying and bro she performed barracuda and it was so good Chappell is truly one of the most kindest talented humans to exist and she’s changed my life in so many ways and I’m just so happy that she stays true to herself it really inspires me and other young people to just be themselves and not care if people judge them
It was a great time! Artist was beyond amazing and the show was everything we could have hoped for. Not enough praise can be given there. The one star off goes for the venue entrance and exit. For a 15k person concert at Westfair the concert had to delay for people to make it in the entrance, and upon leaving we sat in the car for 2hrs waiting for cars to even start moving. For something of this size a shuttle system or alternate routes need to be built. All other factors of this concert were amazing though. Overall a huge yes for us.
She was amazing as always, a queen! Venue was a different story. Having thousands of people in the sun only selling $10 Canned water and fried food in 80 degree weather was not cool at all. The lack of direction when forming lines for entering the amphitheater was horrific. In no way should the concert goers be directing others where to go and handling rude green bean giants trying to cut in front of individuals who’ve been standing there for 6+ hours. This rate is for Chappell only, the venues is down below.
VENUE 1 STAR
I had the BEST time seeing Chappell at Westfair amphitheater!! I got soundcheck VIP and got to the very front of the venue. Her stage presence is insanely impressive and her raw vocals are amazing. She selects local drag queens to perform for her opening act and they were all amazing as well. If you have the chance seeing Chappell live I highly recommend it. It’s definitely a night that I will never forget and will hold close to my heart<3
The concert itself was amazing! She delivered a high energy show that we’ll never forget. She is amazing and it was fantastic to be the final show of the Midwest princess tour.
However, no act as popular as her should ever again have a show at Westfair. Traffic in and out was a complete shitshow. They held the show for like 45 minutes or so because people were stuck in traffic trying to get there to use tickets they paid a lot of $ for. And that was not even as bad as when it was time to leave. How can it take 2 hours (1.5 of sitting still) to get home when I live 15 miles away? Westfair is a disgrace. They need to stick with acts that draw a few thousand people until they can get their shit together with those access roads.
The concert was amazing and so were all of the performers but getting out of the venue was a nightmare. There was almost no traffic control and only one exit out of the parking lot. Basically a stand still for two hours after the event.
It took 3 hours to get out from the venue after the concert due to terrible traffic in the parking lot, and she started late due to people stuck in traffic as well. But, loved the food trucks and loved seeing chappel
My only complaint is that Lorna and Gojiras set was not long enough. I would have been perfectly fine without Mastodon being there. 10/10 if you have the opportunity to go to the show do it.
Saw this tour in Des Moines 2wks ago, now seeing it festival style was a great experience. The venue is nice been there before. Energy was really good and the bands were good... I personally was there for Motionless In White. And they NEVER disappoint, high energy, stage shenanigans, Chris being Chris!!! And of course amazing music to headbang and heartbreak. You don't just see MIW... YOU EXPERIENCE THEM.
In This Moment never disappoints. Seen them multiple times, and it’s always excellent! The other bands at the festival were good as well, but I only really came for In This Moment.
I have had the pleasure of seeing these guys before but never with pyro. Another insanely amazing show in the books. Hopefully next time I can snag a meet and greet. They definitely need to come back and play Iowa/Nebraska. In This Moment, Fit for a King, From Ashes to New, 10 Years, Fame on Fire, and the other two (sorry I have a poor short term memory) were awesome! Can't wait to see them again.
Parking was a nightmare after the concert. Show was really cramped. Drinks were overpriced. Zach B put on a great concert and he was amazing live but the venue issues kind of ruined it for me.
Fantastic Show!! Great mix of old and new AIC. Crowd was insane!! Was in the pit and saw things I’ve never seen before. 1. Handicapped man and wheelchair crowd surfing. 2. Where’s Waldo crowd surfing. 3. Spider-Man crowd surfing! LOL Loved that Sean Kinney had Taylor Hawkins photo on his drum kit. Played Nutshell for Layne Staley and Mike Starr, tears were shed!!
They just get better! Jerry Cantrell is a masterful musician, amazing entertainer! Thank you Sean Kinney for your precision and for the Taylor tribute! It’s beautiful! Mike Inez is still a darling! William awesome vocals! Thanks for an awesome evening!
Being outside all day in 100+ degree weather didn't stop thousands of Iowans? Iowigians? Farmers? Whatever you'd call them, from enjoying yet another incredible performance from Rob Zombie. Having Mudvayne as an opening act certainly was a nice touch too.
My first time at Westfair and even with the heat that we had to deal with, they did a great job hosting this event. All of the bands were amazing, Mudvayne definitely stole the entire show!! That was the best show I’ve ever been to
Concert was great but the venue was kinda meh, took like 45 minutes to park because we had to go all the way around and not to mention the steep climb up a giant hill.
That concert was one of the best I've been to in a long time! If your a Shinedown fan an you have a chance to go see them, Do it! They put on a hell of a show!
It was pretty good. I feel like Evan still hasn't found his grove yet and I miss the steel guitar.
It is so good to see them back though, this is our 2nd show.
Best show I have seen in a long time. The band took time to recognize the audience, stop a fight, and got people to say hello to one another. The music was on point, energized the crowd. When looking around at the crowd, everyone was singing.
