South of England Showground

The South of England Showground occupies a 150-acre site situated just outside the beautiful village of Ardingly in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. The site is owned and operated by the South of England Agricultural Society (SEAC), whose sole Patron is Her Majesty The Queen.

The Society was founded in 1967, but its early beginnings can be traced back through many hundreds of years of English farming heritage. A consolidation of agricultural societies from the 1830’s, the SEAC now works across the six counties of Berkshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex. The Society is a registered charity that funds and supports agricultural education and countryside learning, through its own history and heritage.

Its beautiful location, in the heart of some of the most stunning countryside in England, provides a perfect location for Heritage Live’s summer concerts.
