It was the best night ever!!! Mr. Eddie was the most sweetest man ever to let me and my sister take a picture with him before the show, and getting the chance to listen to his music live for the first time was so beautiful and amazing!!! Thank you Lodge Room, Mr. Eddie, the band and John Carroll Kirby.
From start to finish this was a brilliant show! The opening acts were great but then The McCharmlys were outstanding! I enjoyed every song and the acoustics were perfect. I can’t wait to return for the next show. My only complaint about the venue is isn’t closer to my home, so we wouldn’t have to drive through downtown LA, but it was actually all worth the trip! A great thing is the ticket purchase was painless and I didn’t have to donate to the worst ticket scalpers ever! You know who I mean, their name rhymes with stick-it-bastards!
My favorite band... absolutely loved the show... my 3 youngest kids and a friend came with me... the band even engaged with my kiddos during the show and my kids came out loving them even more than when they went in. The lyrics, melodies, harmonies, overall musicality and chemistry of this group is such a joy to be a little fringe part of each time I see them. Venue was great as well, staff very friendly and helpful.
Very mellow set (Wed show) which would’ve been better if they mixed the tempo of their playlist up a bit. Still a really cool band to see, I’ve seen them five times now in Chicago, San Diego and LA…so I definitely recommend. Just my preference, I would’ve liked to hear some of their harder hitting, darker songs from their first two albums.
I am so excited for José James - he has been able to lead the life he wants to lead and grow his audience worldwide. His voice is so special and his writting partner and wife are a magical duet... may the story of José James continue to grow.
José - please - do more shows in LA... we must get LA to be your top marketplace and I would love to help - call me.
One of the best experiences of my life. In person they sound nearly identical to their recordings. Their musical skill paired with all the lovely stories of their songs’ inspirations made for a memorable and fantastic evening. Will definitely see them again when they are back in my area!!! Thank you, Arcadian Wild and Bodhi for making it out to Los Angeles!!! We love y’all💛🎻🎶
Without even a simple sign on the outside it was hard to know what the club would be like or if we were in the right place.
But once inside all of the staff were friendly and the hall and rooms up the stairs are beautiful and just a great space to watch a performance.
And Giacomo and his band. Just absolutely amazing! My son and I have been watching them on IG for awhile now. But of course so much better live. Being able to listen to the full length of their songs woven together and changing minute to minute was awe inspiring.
I'd be first in line to buy a recording of this live performance. So many sections I'd love to listen to again and again.
And really great that they greeted the audience as we were leaving. Super class act! Thanks Giacomo and the Funky Minutes.
I had such an ecstatic experience seeing Mondo Cozmo. The passion and grit of Josh's performance is so honest and raw, you can't help but come away electrified. Yes, there are shades of Dylan, and Springsteen, but he is such a damn humble troubadour, you can't help but wish Mondo Cozmo just a dash of the success of his influences (but only after you get to see them in the perfect intimacy that is the Lodge Room. Spare, poetic lyrics, propulsive, hook-laden anthems, bandmates that their leader obviously loves deeply. These kinda shows happen once or twice in a lifetime.
Sprain was... a band. Avant-garde noise ain't my thing. Midwife was pretty good, the new songs are great. Dan has really honed his craft as Giles Corey. The performance was oozing with passion and drama without turning corny (like Sprain did). Good t-shirts available. After the show, at midnight, on the 1.5h drive home I finally listened to Deconstructionist and that's not really a good thing to try when going 90 at night lol. Was nodding off whenever the low tones were going. Dan sure knows some stuff about death.
Just as fascinating as the first time I saw him. Amazing, beautiful, emotional… I could use all the words and still it wouldn’t be enough. How could it? He stands there by himself and conveys so much more than most artists with a whole band and performers. Tamino and his music feel like they both came out of a myth. Ethereal and mysterious and just brilliant. Will go see him perform anytime I have the chance to!
For those of you who know DeVotchKa for the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack, yes... DeVotchKa has a lot of really amazing mellow tunes, but if you go to one of their concerts get ready for an experience that hits all energy levels including overdrive! I won't blow the surprise ending, but a word of advice... DON'T LEAVE EARLY. They always keep things fun throughout the show and end with a surge of adrenaline and ecstasy that makes you want to see them again and again.
I've seen them three times in L.A. at three different venues - all of which were outstanding, including Lodge Room. They really know how to bring down the house.
What is there to say? Dengue Fever has been truly singular since they began but every year they get tighter, stronger, better, and more innovative. Every single musician is stellar, and the lead vocalist is an angel. Humans don't deserve to hear that voice, yet there it is. Shazam! This was their second live performance I've attended (although I own every album) and it was even better than their last! If you like the albums, you will melt into a puddle of vibrating energy when you see them life. Oh mah gods. So damn good.
First time seeing a show at this venue and it's as great as they say -- singularly memorable space in great shape despite its history, great acoustics, small and killer bar. I will be going back for certain.
One of the best nights of my life. Surreal experience. Met a lot of people, but didn't get the chance to exchange numbers with them :(. I met someone at my community college though, hoping I can run into him soon. Also got a pic with Sam! Chad, Valentina, and Lia, if you anyone of you guys see this, hmu on IG; @big_baller_brandon
Overall the energy was fierce and vibrant. I went for my little brothers, but I ended up leaving with my own amazing experience. The band peeps were really kind and very down to earth people. Their music invites you to learn much more about their own persona. 10/10 would love to see them again (( : Thank you for visiting LA and I hope y’all loved your visit, it was thrilling while it lasted, have a great tour guys !
This is a beautiful venue with excellent acoustics and friendly staff. Their food and beverage prices and selections are great as well. Sea Wolf was a gem of a show, alongside Matt Costa, and everyone presented such earnestness with being able to play a show at home after such a long hiatus. I was so pleased with the general mindfulness of the crowd as well. I look forward to seeing another show here in the future.
The band was one of the best live shows I’ve experienced though. An amazing show from beginning to end. Well, I almost made it to the end. I forgot my earplugs and had to leave a couple minutes early due to not being able to bear the decibel level at the venue anymore. Please bring earplugs if you’re planning on seeing them.
Really good music and a whole bunch of fun, couldn't help but dance like no one was watching. I especially enjoyed the Krishna rock portions with a live drummer. Mikaela's voice is so powerful and soulful, it could carry a song alone. Add in her talent on the harp and 4 more talented musicians, and you've got something truly unique and special. Don't miss the show near you!
Belmont never faltered with the performance and energy they gave to their fans. Belmont added fuel to the fire ignited by their friends, and opening band, Capstan. Who equally had an impressive ability to capture the crowd's attention and support. Belmont knows what they came for, and they know why you're there, they won't rest until they've given you the best damn performance.
The start or their tour and kicked it off in AMT fashion!!! Great room and look forward to going there for more shows. Now I'm looking forward to the tour ender!!! Got my tickets, did you? If not and have never seen AMT??? Treat yourself!! Don't cheat yourself!! Once you've experienced them you'll be a devout follower of the Temple!!!!
Great concert- venue needs to figure out the door situation. Arrived at 8 to find huge line down the gross alley our back to get in. We decided to go have a drink and wait for the line to go down. We came back at 8:43 and the line was just as bad. Got in at almost 9 barely in time for the start of the show. Late and his band were brilliant however.
