That was a remarkable show. Part selection from an iconic back catalogue, part retrospective on some of the best music across the entire 1980s (no mean feat), and a review of three movements from a symphony - with a band that included a virtually-present young UKR singer bassist currently displaced from 🇺🇦 - just awesome. I’d forgotten how much of Thomas’ music I knew, listening in the early 1980s, almost 45 years ago. Engagement with the crowd was superb. As was Martin Mac, of Prefab Spout fame - seen last year at the inaugural Shiiine On weekender in Skegness (I know 🤣) just gets better - great warm up. And the visuals for Thomas were excellent. For anyone who likes Public Service Broadcasting - similar vibes for “ One of our submarines”. I will die happier (one day!) knowing I saw this legend live. And big love to the Sub Rooms in Stroud - very cute.

From the moment of arriving at the Sub Rooms we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. This was also true of the bar staff. The concert itself was excellent and exceeded expectations. First of all ,the support act was really enjoyable and a great start to the evening. Jesse Lynn Madera has a lovely voice and she is a singer who is sure to have a very successful future. Her accompanying guitarist was also extremely talented, Colin Blunstone's voice is still fantastic and his musicians were top class. The show included memorable old favourites and lesser known numbers all of which were beautifully delivered. In all an exceptionally entertaining and enjoyable evening which we would be pleased to pay to see again in the future.

The Tide Lines show in Stroud was Sgoinneil! 😀 Also enjoyed listening to their local support act singer-songwriter Crispin Burton.

Thrill Collins, as always, were excellent. Its a shame the whole event didn't live up to the standard they set. Venue emptied when the following act came on. Sub Rooms got the running order wrong.

Josh was great and as laid back as always. It's amazing that he still comes to the UK twice a year ♥️ Maybe one too many whistling songs if there was a fault 🤣 Fantastic cover choice in Ron Sexsmith's Lebanon, Tennessee. Not sure about finishing with Buddy Holly. All the usuals were played. Audience didn't contribute as much as normal. Maybe because he was playing outside his usual cities. Venue staff were very friendly, though seats were pretty uncomfortable and very close together. The guy next to me elbowed me several times. Later Youth is good, though I can almost sing along I've seen him/them so many times supporting Josh 🤣

The staff were amazing - really friendly, couteous and helpful. I would recommend EVERYONE goes to see Newton. What an artist. His guitar skills were off the chart, he commanded the room and the audience brilliantly and his vocals were stunning. THIS WAS A SHOW! We sang, we laughed, we were brought into groups to collaborate - the whole experience was a night I will never forget. Thank you Mr Faulkner for such a fantastic evening. It was so good that I have booked to see him again later this year, after the release of the new album "Octupus". He played a few snippets of songs from the new album and I urge you to buy it, so this incredibly talented artist can enter the charts at the top spot! That's where he deseves to be!

As usual a truly brilliant show. Outstanding performance by extremely talented musicians.

Another fab LJs gig - just a joyful evening of music, singalong and dancing. Would award six stars if I could - will definitely be back for the next tour…

Oyster band were, as ever absolutely great. However the venue set up was very poor. Extremely overcrowded on uncomfortable seats. The rows were squeezed together presumably just to max out on numbers and without a thought for comfort or safety - just a single exit, sorry but I wouldn’t be going back to the sub rooms in a hurry.

Second time seeing this amazing band. Incredible talent. Beautiful voices and they did Bruce proud. Will definitely see them again. Highly recommended if you like Springsteen

BJ bring the #BJParty to the Pride After Party. And they were brilliant as always.

Fantastic Band, If you like the Punk/Folk sound by a band with real energy, you will love this band. the Suns rooms is also a brilliant venue either a s standing or seated venue. Nice high stage so band can be viewed from anywhere

Great show a joy to watch Curtis play live

I’ve seen them 5 times now and every time it feels like the first time I’ve been. It feels so close to listening to the eagles live. And I can’t wait to the next time I see them. 🔥
