Great music in a lovely church seasonal setting. Lunasa are impressively skilled musicians playing lively jigs and reels that make it almost impossible not to tap your feet or (with their encouragement) clap your hands. Witty banter among the band members, as you would expect from an Irish music group.
Such a magical performance in a magical venue. Thank you!
Nicole is one of the most underrated music artists ever to come from NJ. Her band just finished a tour warming up for Stevie Nicks. Nicole’s unique gifted voice makes her the most desirable artist to collaborate with other bands on covers and new offerings. The Outpost in the Burbs venue, located in a reformed church, has excellent acoustics and room for up to 500. Very nice people run the venue.
Bonnie was amazing and deserves 5 stars! Been waiting years for her to return to the NY area and she delivered.
However, only a 35 minute set was pretty disappointing. Not sure why she got the short shrift.
The venue is pretty weird. It's a church, so I get it. But the sightlines are terrible even from 1/2 way to the back. The stage need to be brought up about 2 feet and all would be fine. Acoustics were good - sound mix was not.
Seating is general admission, so get there for doors is the lesson I learned. You sit in either pews or folding chairs, so after 10 rows, it's irrelevant as you won't see much.
Bathroom situation is horrible. The lines were ridiculous and many people missed quite a bit of the show just waiting. I believe porta-johns were a last minute addition, but it was too late by then.
So, the artist gets 5 and the room gets a 1.
She rocks and the band rolls
Richard looked and sounded Great!!!!!!!!! I just wish that there were fewer people at the show. I hope he comes to a local theatre near me
Lovely and personable in her Q&A, solid singer/songwriter vibe playing her revisitation of Steady On with a few surprises thrown in. The Outpost is actually a (former?)church complete with stained glass and pews. Neat venue for a concert. Homey yet open. A perfect place for delving into the past and soul searches.
I enjoyed the concert very much. It was what I expected and the band delivered
Molly is always a treat, but with this new band..... WOW!
On Molly Tuttle- You will never see a better performer in your life. Moly Tuttle is a one of kind musician. The music was absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately, Outpost in the burbs sent an email saying the show would start promptly at 8 and end a 9:30. We arrived at 7:30 for our seats. Then instead they had an opening act (they were good but it pushed everything back) and Molly didn't start playing til nine. Kind of inconvenient when you had invited your elderly aunt to the show and it didn't start till an hour later.
First time seeing her was a great show even converted my wife.
Excellent time.
