The Blackberry Smoke band is one of my favorites. Charlie and the band are not just great musicians. They also put on an awesome concert. It is a lot of fun hearing my favorites live.
The Portland State Theater is also a great venue. Easy to get to, lots of parking nearby. It has standing options for those who want to be down front and up close. And.. seats for those who want to sit. I had great balcony seats.
This was one of those shows that I just could not miss. I've wanted to see him for years, and this was a great chance to focus purely on his playing, sound, and tunes. It was fantastic.
Five stars for Pat and his show.
Three stars for the State Theater, which left a lot to be desired ... the staff were very nice, but the floors were stickier than a dive bar's, and because there are no doors on the bathroom entrances, we all heard loud hand dryers through the whole show.
Went to the show at the State Theatre, Portland, Maine. Ally Venable and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band put on an awesome show. The crowd was definitely into it as was I! Kenny is certainly an awesome/great/fantastic/insert other appropriate superlative here... guitar player. Ally Venable is absolutely keeping the blues alive!
They were fantastic! Kenny and all his band mates
give it their all, every time I’ve seen them! He is a phenomenal guitarist! Thank you for coming to Portland, ME
His opening band Ali was very good too!
This was the BEST CONCERT EVER!! I had a blast! Dylan, Tayler, And Matt were all AMAZING!! I would love to see y'all come back! Thank you for an amazing show and bringing so much happiness and joy to our city :)
For my sixth time seeing the Sons they were in top form for sure. Jay bounded around the stage from the start, was engaged with the crowd and was spot on vocally. Scott was the guitar god we all know he is, riffing throughout the evening while looking perpetually cool as fuck. Mike and Dave kept the rhythm tight and were a rock solid foundation.
As much as it is weird not having Todd on stage, the four piece unit is straight up meat and potatoes and just plain kicks ass. Like anyone, I could quibble about the setlist but I love that they mix it up and keep interesting for the fans and themselves. Ending the show with one of my faves, Secret, was the cherry on the top.
Til next time.
Another awesome show put on by Memphis May Fire. These guys are so much fun to watch and always give you 100%. I drove 4 hours roundtrip to see them and would do it again.
Saul was awesome. The lead singer put on a commanding performance. He has a great presence and connection with the crowd. The music is powerful and uplifting. This is a band to follow and see whenever you get the chance.
Definitely worth using various points to fly up there and stay in a hotel for a night! It felt like a really special show — unexpected but solid setlist and great energy.
Third time seeing this incredible band and they just keep getting better. At the end, Dallas said it was his favorite show of the tour…which he might say at every show but the crowd sure felt it. Electric! Hope they keep coming back!
Love this band and this venue! I’ve seen them a little more amped up which made a slightly better show but this was still stellar at this show too. The sound and staff was top notch.
Amazing! Cried the whole time 💖 the venue was super hot because they don't really have much for ventilation, but that's just what happens when you go to State Theater in the summer. Modest Mouse was wonderful. Beautiful night.
It was my first concert and it was amazing! I'm slo glad I got to see my favorite band In This Moment perform! Never heard of Ded or Bad Omens until I went to the concert and they were amazing. I hope to see all three bands in concert again!
Another great DKM show. I have seen the Murphy’s nearing 30 times and they have yet to disappoint. Last nights show was no exception without singer Al Barr (who left the tour to take care of an ailing mother) they made the adjustment and put on a show different than I have ever seen but just as good as any I have seen. Thank you for another amazing, kick ass show!!
Wow. I got there in time to see 3 bands. New year's day, motionless in white, and in this moment. I can't say enough about the bands. Not only was the music AMAZING, but the vibe, the love they all shared to the whole room, to the metal community.... we freaks kick ass. If you like any one of these songs.....GO. It's a PERFORMANCE AND THEY KICK ASS.
IDKHow was once again fantastic. This is my third time seeing them. They bring an energy to the stage that can’t be matched. Definitely see them if you have the chance!
Incredible shredder. Two solid hours of sonic bombardment - the guy is tireless, I swear. Amazing sounds from his rig. I'm guessing loops and recordings, and some insane pedals.
State Theater in Portland, ME, is pretty cool. First time there. A combination of seating, floor space in front of the stage, and tiered standing room levels with a bar on each, and good views of the stage.
I would see him again!
Outstanding performance by Jake Dylan and The Wallflowers at the State Theatre, Portland, Maine. Wow, Jake Dylan was great talking with the fans and played until almost midnight. Thank you so much 😊 for playing my favorite song How good it can get. I have been to many concerts such as Tom Petty (4 times) and this concert from The Wallflowers is one of the best I have been. Thank you again to Jake Dylan and the band
Fantastic concert. Love the lyrics, singing, interaction with audience, great percussionist, tight band.
Opening band Om was difficult to listen to, base way too loud, uncomfortable and ruined hearing for opening of Iron and Wine.
First time seeing Caitlin live and she did not disappoint. Great voice and a wonderful stage presence . Her voice, humor, smile, and just her overall personality won over a lot of people who may not have been familiar with her prior to seeing her .
