Seether put on an amazing show but when they stopped playing one of the songs early that I came to see, that pissed me off. Apparently one of the other bands played too long cutting Seethers show short. Not happy about that.
Bad Omens had an amazing show. I have never been to a show where the band sounds just like their recordings!! I just don't like that we can't have the lids to the $8.00 each bottle of water so my pregnant daughter ended up spilling hers.
Amazing production and live sound! Being so close to the pit was also an experience I’ll never forget. This was one of my favorite rock concerts I have ever been to! I love Bad Omens and they did not disappoint! The confetti at the beginning and end was an amazing touch! You can tell they really care about their fans and giving them their all!
Noah's vocals are insane live!!! I go to ALOT of shows and most bands, after the encode, just leave, Bad Omens hit the stage and we're throwing out guitar pics and posing for photos. It speaks volumes on how they feel about their fans. One of the top shows I've ever been to!
I really enjoyed both groups. The customer service line was extremely slow and I found it a bit silly that you had to have a clear bag. My bag was opaque and no one even looked in it. It seemed like a whole lot of hoopla for nothing
The concert was fantastic and the weather was perfect
First off, when did we all get so old that Mike Ness can have his adult son open for him?! As always Social D was amazing. Even after Ness's throat cancer, he can still belt out the tunes. The band tight and performed beautifully.
Bad Religion is still one of the best concerts ever live. That was probably my fifth time seeing them again and they still performed like when I saw them at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor one of my favorite shows ever back in the day! My daughter had a blast getting another generation into BR and Punk Rock.. One of the coolest things with having two punk legends who have been performing over 35 years touring together was seeing punk rockers there from all generations from back in the late seventies when the punk movement started until now. This is one I'll always remember 🎶🤟🫶
It was so great to see Lovejoy and the make great music. I lost my voice for singing long there song and it so great and the shirt is so good the artist did good on shirt and I love Lovejoy and I was so excited to hear them in real life.
This concert was amazing and I am so glad I was able to go. Lovejoy is my favorite band and this was just so amazingly fun. Everything about it was great, the venue, the openers, and of course, Lovejoy themselves! Definitely will be going to more of their concerts if I can.
For all the Lovejoy fans out there, I would STRONGLY advise not only to sign up for Bandsintown, but to take any chance to see Lovejoy perform live.
First off, the speed at which this website sent me a notification that Lovejoy was going on tour was absolutely insane. Without the website notifications, I wouldn't have been able to secure eight spots for my friends and I to see this show. Thank you to Bandsintown for being incredible!!
Second, the Mesa Amphitheater itself was beautiful. The stage was extremely large to the point where my friends and I had about 40-50 people standing in front of us but were still able to secure spots in the second row (if you can call people standing in a large clump a "row"). Furthermore, the way that the amphitheater is structured allows people in the very back to still have an opportunity to see the artist clearly. I had a friend who was in the very back, but she had a great view. However, beware: get there early, my group got in line six hours before the concert started, and there were still 40-50 people in front of us. Y'all are insane, and I love it.
Finally, the performance itself was LIFE-CHANGING. Both of the opening acts were wonderful, and I was absolutely vibing even though I didn't know any of their music. And then Lovejoy absolutely burned the house down with its music. The crowd that their music gathers is so fun- people brought "forehead reveal" signs, posters of Wil's face, and had the crowd actively cheer and boo to images of the L'manburg flag and the American flag- and I got free bracelets and new friends from the experience. Plus, the band itself was so incredible. They're so incredibly talented, and they're actually real, which was crazy!! Wil managed to belt his way through sickness and had tons of fun with the audience (and a forehead reveal), Joe and Ash ROCKED the guitar, and Mark's drumming is so good and impossible. Overall, a spectacular experience. Take any chance you get to see them, nerds.
These guys out on one of the best live shows out there right now and they took it up a notch on this tour. The addition of Sleepwalker and especially Chronos to the setlist is killer. Chronos is one of the best live songs I’ve heard in a long time.
I was worried about the show cancelling since Chris had been struggling with bronchitis the last few days but they turned up. They sounded amazing and the visuals were so awesome, Im so glad I was able to see them, and plan on seeing them again next year!!
The bands were great. The venue is a good place to see a show.
Not sure if it was due to ticket sales but half of the concession stands closed early and
it made it more challenging to get food and drinks.
Otherwise it was a great night. They do a good job of keeping the restrooms clean.
***EPIC show on a perfect night! The weather was as good as it gets and the packed house was full of IRIE peeps, enjoying the badass show and blissful mood of the whole vibe, it was truly a stellar experience from parking to the last song. The accoustix/sound, light show & stage effex were eye candy and dialed in and the band was on fire and at the top of their game. I don’t know how it could have been any better, no shit :). Huge UPS to Mesa Amphitheater for hosting DISPATCH, Dirty Heads & Stick Figure this year (‘23) & being one of the best venues for live music in the entire country. Respect to AZ for representing at the highest level, in quantity and quality! #STICKFIGURERULES
It was a dry heat lol.
Yes, it was surface of the sun kinda hot. So hot, in fact, that while doing his stripped down set (i.e. G., chair, harmonica and a diff acoustic guitar for each day of the week), G (Love) had to forego a song (can’t remember which it was supposed to be? ?) that required him to play the 12 string acoustic, bc he gave up trying to tune it, stating that he had limited time as the opening act, but that limit was estab by numbers of tracks to play (versus total mins on stage). Dispatch was the breeze that kept everybody sober lol.
The show was magical. He was this light, this incredible being that lit up the room. From his band, to the lighting, the set up, it was magical. This show is definitely, definitely, one I would recommend. This show is one to see.
Much love,
V
His set was everything I hoped it would be- excellent vocals, amazing instrumentals, exceptional energy from him and his band. I wish the crowd would have been more receptive and appreciative of how truly great a performance it was, but I do think it gained them some new fans last night! So good, sad it's over!
So freaking good!! Black Veil Brides and the opening chick were not a great fit, but Ice Nine Kills and MIW were 🔥 Don't miss out!! Skip the RIP experience though - that needs a lot of work to be worth an extra $200
The show was amazing! I've been a fan of BVB since 2014 but I've been obsessed with MIW for the past few months and when Chris Motionless came on stage, I got so excited that I almost threw up, which is new.
After the show, the venue kicked everyone out waiting in line for the merch (the lines were unbelievably long the whole show) so unfortunately I couldn't get myself merch on my birthday. Get there hours early!
I've also seen some complaints about a ginger bearded band staff member being creepy and taking pictures of girls, so look out for that.
The RCPM concert was excellent as always. I also enjoyed opening act Wade Bowen.
Particularly notable were the tribute to The Clash and Wade Bowen joining the band for a song at the end.
The playlist was mostly RCPM/Refreshments classics. If I remember correctly, only one song “Maybe We Should Fall In Love” was more current than their ¡Americano! album.
Even though it would have been good to hear more current music as well, we did miss “Banditos” and “Nada”.
The only real downside is the Mesa Amphitheatre’s location. The outdoor venue and it’s sound system were excellent but the Mesa city code forcing the music to stop at 10pm certainly contributed to the truncated playlist.
