The most amazing concert I have attended and I have seen some of the greats — Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Springsteen, Billy Joel, Journey, etc. So thankful JPJ Arena was chosen rather than VSU’s arena.
Jelly Roll’s closing number was magical. The band was Nashville’s finest, the videographer was truly supreme. The local inmates JR brought to the concert, the story of their meeting, and the inmates’ performance during the concert. The entire show was a gift of love, forgiveness, and redemption.
There were only two problems IMO. 1) The lighting engineer needs some training/practice; they kept turning the white overhead lights on during the warmup acts. These lights are turned on for intermission between acts not during a performance. And 2) the sound level. I always wear hearing protection at shows but I really needed my Bose noise cancelling headphones for this show. My husband checked decibel level and it was over 140! I was fortunate I only had a splitting headache and not a migraine.
Excellent concert! Both opening acts were so good, but Kane Brown was AMAZING. The stage, the lights, everything about it. John Paul Jones Area is a great venue for a concert. Easy in and easy out, great and very friendly staff. I have enjoyed every show I have been to there.
I have seen Thomas 5 times now and this by far his best show. His stage presence is awesome and his interaction with the crowd is awesome!! Cole and Nate put on great shows as well. It was my first time seeing them!!
Awesome concert!!!! It was truly amazing to be able to see the first concert on the tour .
Love you KENNY CHESNEY!!!❤️🌹😘
The concert was EXCELLENT! Venue was average people in the stands were vaping. We reported it but no one came to take care of the situation
Carrie Underwood is amazing. Her voice impeccable, like no other and she's an Incredible artist, singer and entertainer. Show was fantastic!!
I really really really had a blast time to watch Carrie Underwood’s songs. I want to meet her in person. I have sign language interpreter to interpret all Carrie’s songs. Beautiful songs. Hope she will come back to Charlottesville’s JPJ arena again soon.
First time seeing Billy Strings and Fuzzy Rainbows was at Red Rocks in Colorado and it was the best concert ever, and I’ve been going to shows since 1975. Second time seeing Billy Strings on February 21, 2023 at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville Virginia, and it was the second best concert ever.
Loved it! Parking was a bit iffy, but that was the only complaint. So thrilled to be getting big names in our area.
Journey and ToTo rocked John Paul Jones Arena! ToTo came out and played all of our favorites from start to the encore-Africa. The rendition of Georgy Porgy was fantastic.
This is the second time seeing Journey in 5 years and they always put on a great show and engage the crowd. Even though members have changed since 1977, they still have the same sound.
Can't wait for the next show by both groups!
I thought the show was great! Both Toto and Journey put on great shows! The seats on the floor were a little tight. haha. Otherwise, everything was good! Would 100% see them again, and go to JPJ.
Fantastic concert! Full of energy, great stage presence and awesome special effects. Only complaint.....get your poster as soon as you get to the venue because they will run out and the online poster sale is gone within minutes. I got one off Etsy....best I could do but would have really loved to have an original
Incredible show. Joel and Luke are godly men. Worthy of watching. The team are incredibly talented running between instruments. High energy. Great percussion. Incredible lights- great job older brother. Great sound mix - thanks family friend! Worth it!
It was a great show! The stage was a bit small & it would have been nice if the screens had the words to the songs on the new album.
I enjoyed the concert!! I knew all the songs and enjoyed singing along. I like that parking wasn't a hustle. I wish I'd have met Joel and Luke and taken a photo with them like in 2019.
As always, KISS put on a mind blowing show!
This was my 9th KISS concert dating back to 1992 but with this one being so close to home and having so many friends there it was easily the best!
They went above and beyond to give us the best concert ever! We wanted the best and we got the best!
It was a life changing show and I am so glad I went. The boys really know how to get you involved in the show. I love Tyler and josh so much and they saved my life 💛
This show was amazing. The venue however, was the worst ever. 40 minutes to park, had to pay $20 to park in a random store lot, no purses unless they were clear and no caps on the drinks.
One of the best and most engaging concerts in a long time. Love. Love. Love.
This was my fourth tøp show but it still felt like my first. This band is constantly outdoing themselves and it’s incredible ❤️❤️❤️
